My husband went in for a beard trim and came out rather upset, which in turn infuriated me. A £5 beard trim escalated into an £18 fork-out because his neck (where his beard goes to) needed trimming too. A quick skim across his eyebrows and nostrils and 7 minutes later it was almost as though nothing had been done. He had NOT been advised it would cost an extra thirteen quid. He questioned the barbers who rudely said there was nothing that could be done, which IMHO is an absolute pile of sh*te. I politely queried them afterwards and this became quite heated as I was fiercely spoken AT in a harsh tone to say I was wrong, had a leaflet thrown at me and was arrogantly suggested it was 'too bad' and that my husband was 'wrong'. No apology for any misunderstanding or ill feeling, just two very rude, arrogant and obnoxious Mediterranean Barbers with the attitude of 'suck it up b*tch and get out of our shop.' I truly felt as if they were laughing at us stupid people who were 'clearly' in the wrong. This alleged 'hot shave and massage' my husband had was a mere tap on the forehead with some foam squirted on his neck, run over by clippers. Bullsh*t guys. Complete and utter bullsh*t. In conclusion, a 7 minute beard trip advertised at £5 was bumped up to £18 because they used a razor on the lower 2cm adding 30 seconds to the experience.
