But this sort of second hand fashion means upto 80% you donate still ends up in landfill. Flohpalast on the other hand sells everything. Ones trash is another's treasure. The prices are cheaper, the shelves are packed from top to bottom and the stock is updated and discounted daily. They value the true meaning and sentiment behind second hand fashion etc. I think most of these people and second hand organisations forget 1- this stuff is donated 2- it's about reducing waste 3- it's cheap for a reason, the people who buy second hand might not always be doing it out of choice but necessity. This accessible, kind, welcoming shop is the best charity shop in town because it's the only one that's actually like a flea market!

As far as selection, it can be a hit and miss, but I almost always walk out of there buying something great to add to my wardrobe, without having to think about how much I've spent. The old ladies who work there are classy, elderly, and dear to my heart. There are a couple more of these stores in Munich... don't be fooled, this one's the best.

As I say I have a lot of new goods he brings a woman out who goes through all my stuff. It was a awful experience of them choosing exactly what they wanted and then said the rest they have no room. I was there before shopping a wanted to give somethings away to people in need but my experience with the workers there was very uncomfortable and rude. If they wanted to choose and say to take away what I had to give away because they have no room to store them they should say that beforehand so it will save people the long journey and work of bringing it in. I know not to give things to people like them: ungrateful!

Their selection is constantly changing and many of the items are there for a day or two and then sold. The guy who owns the shop speaks good English and is very nice and welcoming. This shop is cash only and you can find tons of things like chairs and lounges, coffee tables, lamps both desk and floor. The majority of the stuff is from the 40's to the 80'with some odds and sods thrown in. I bought a gorgeous floor lamp from the guy and he was ok to accept less for it and was happy to sell it to me. I always browse through the windows here every time I walk by and look for what's new. His prices are reasonable and his selection is changing often. If you are looking for retro furniture this place is one I would recommend you stop in. With a bit of TLC you will have some fine original retro furniture for not a lot of money ;-))

Little did I know, Lisalu is thickly packed wall-to-wall with modern, stylish, high-quality, and completely unique pieces. It took me hours to wade through its offerings, gathering garment-after-garment into my arms. A woman who I assume was the owner (or co-owner) was very nice, helpful, and even gave me a deal for the completely embarrassing and unreasonable amount of dinero I dropped in her store. I left with what are now some of my favorite wardrobe items, and a very sad and hollow wallet. *Thrifters beware: this isn't your local designer exchange, where the prices max out around $50...the cheapest items were around $40, and some of the more expensive items were around $150. They had a good selection of coats and they had used leiderhosen that seemed expensive, but it was cheaper than the real stores.
