Ducks waddling by, children running past, boats chugging along the river and families picnicking in shady tabled areas. These are the sights you will see when you come to this park. There is the traditional Memorial Park with beautiful roses and then look around and see the views and the facilities the community is using. In the summer a part of the river is fenced off for a river pool with a well looked after sandy beach. Obviously a bit cold in the winter months but popular during the warmer days. A great fish and chip shop is right beside the park and many people visit his shop and bring the food to the park. Several boats cruise up the river. Some very expensive boats and then the little boat with the outboard motor makes an interesting view. read more
