Month later, after weekly phone calls from me, found out chipper needed new engine, one they would cover. I am happy they are honoring the warranty but not happy that not once have they reached out to me to tell me what is happening. I always have to call. Any funeral I have been to had the hands crossed as though peacefully at rest. Rigor mortis had already set in and the arms were at the side but raised slightly above the body. Also, whatever cosmetic was used for skin color failed. It looked as though none was used. She was literally gray. I was appalled and several others commented as well. We placed a picture of her near the body so people would know what she once looked like. There was NO excuse for this. If I had known, I would have opted for no body prep (also less costly) and a closed casket. Yes, I commented to a staff member. I take no pleasure in these remarks. Death is hard enough as it is, without anything added to it making it worse.
