Deep nail marks in his arms, scratches and nail marks on his back, and a dark, fresh bruise in the center of his back. The center took no accountability, so we pulled him out. We're now 7 months down the line, and my son is terrified to go to kindergarten in the fall because of what she did to him. He says she got angry and squeezed and pinched him, which is consistent with the marks that were on his body. He is now so afraid to go to kindergarten in the fall because he thinks he's going to be abused again. He has anxiety about it daily. I'm posting this review because this center has so many good reviews and so I felt safe bringing my child there and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. Aside from the marks, they switched his classroom without telling me, they didn't tell me they switched his teacher (which was when the big problems started), the center director Nicole was so rude that it bordered on unprofessional and it made me uncomfortable, they were short staffed and ill equipped to deal with the number of children they had, and just had very poor communication and professionalism issues. Please don't send your kids here. It was an honest to God nightmare and I wish I could turn back time and send him somewhere else. My momma heart breaks to hear him talk about what happened to him and panic about going to school ever again.

She used to always cry at drop off at the other daycare and now she willing goes to school with a smile on her face. They are very diligent about putting sunscreen on her. She has never come home with bruises or anything else concerning, which is honestly saying a lot with her desire to climb up and jump off all elevated surfaces in our home. Thats exactly what I did and I dont regret it once! So actually this was the first time I have ever used preschool or childcare in my life so I didnt know what to expect but went through with it anyways because it was the only choice to do if I wanted my spouse to work and get paid. I gave them a call asking if they had any openings for my child's age and luckily they did. I dropped by filled out the paper work and got her shots up to date ( which is a must if enrolling them) and in no time it was her first week. You are allowed to send them 5 days a week or even just 2 or 3 days if you just wanted them to get out of the house and interact with other kids to get that social life going. We went ahead and picked the 5 days a week and paid monthly which you have options to pay weekly, bi weekly, or monthly. We didnt know what to expect with our kid since she has never been to any preschool or childcare before and is a little clingy but the staff kept on telling us she will adapt and it just takes time. So in no time she adapted and really enjoyed going there meeting with all her other little friends playing while learning. The staff is outstanding from everyone of the teachers to the young ladies who help out in the afternoon. They have a snack in the morning, have lunch, take a 2 hour nap and have another snack later in the day. They also go outside and have a pretty nice playground located in the back when the weather is nice out. You must provide you own diapers and wipes and a mat to sleep on with a blanket. We been here now for 8 months and we can tell she has been learning so much and everyday they give you a note that tells you how your kids was as if she ate or not, her attitude, if she took a nap or not and so on. As per holidays there closed on all major holidays but for other holidays such as Columbus day, MLK day, Presidents day they are open. So overall this YMCA and staff is doing great and I dont regret once sending our kids there! She learns a lot, has fun, and gets out of the house and plays with her friends while Mama and daddy are making that money! Dont hesitate and send them now!

They mixed the classes, I never knew which class she would be in, and all the kids would chew on the toys and there seemed to be no sanitation of the toys in the toddler rooms. Swim lessons drew me in since I'd never learned to swim as a child and not only were the lessons great, but I also joined water aerobics which is a wonderful fitness routine. I use the gym too, and the entire facility is clean and extremely well kept and offers a myriad of activities for people of all age levels. I totally love the staff!!! I don't have children, but the kids always appear to be having the time of their lives :-) Great community center and so glad I found it!
