Great service! Great food!! The Peace street Mellow Mushroom has been one of my wife and I go to spots for food for over 10 years. We mostly order takeout from Mellow Mushroom these days, the food is always delicious and the takeouts are seamless. My order is usually the Jerk Chicken Wings My wife likes the Funky Q and The Works pizza. *The salads are awesome too.

My son saw the photos of Mellow Mushroom and he had to check out this cool spot! The food was affordable and delicious, huge servings! I love that the kids menu was on a coloeinf page but with a variety of fun things for my son to do. I brought my siblings and husband with me and we have a wide variety of taste and diet restrictions but we were all able to find something we could each enjoy. Only slight downside was the waitress didn't seem comfortable when my sister started to ask more in depth questions regarding ingredients and no sense of urgency when it came to taking our orders or checking in on us. All of that aside the food was delicious, the atmopshere was psychedelic and artistic, and we had an amazing time!

Found this really dope pizza spot while visiting. The atmosphere was great and the hostess were nice and helpful. We got a couple of items of their menu and it did not disappoint! Pepperoni pizza had ricotta cheese with a dash of hot honey, garlic Parmesan wings are spot on with taste I like the creamy sauce added to them. The pizza crust might have been wheat. Overall this pizza spot has good vibes and great food definitely worth checking out. Giant mushrooms everywhere reminded me beyond wonderland

I recommend getting two smaller pizzas if you want to leave out certain items on only half the pizza. It was rather difficult trying to get the correct pizza with doing half and half. The manager was great by giving us a discount after 2 attempts! They also tried to give the sauce and onions on the side to remedy the holy shiitake side; however, it was still not as delicious as it normally is with it all cooked in. This won't stop us from going back, but it will definitely prompt us to order differently next time! The patio was a great spot to relax with the nice weather.

Ordered two pizzas to go and boy were they delicious. Didn't actually go inside the establishment but looks like a nice place from the outside. The lady on the phone who I placed my order with was knowledgeable and helpful and my pizza was ready when she said it would be. No complaints there. Only thing I wish I would have done was get a dipping sauce for the crust. The crust is great but can be a little bland if the toppings don't go all the way to the edge. Will definitely return!

Such a vibe this place is! If you go during peak hours, you'll definitely have to wait. Servers are friendly. Ordered the Great White, Holy Shiitake and a Veg out GF and Vegan pizza. They were all delicious, cheesy, surprisingly even the GF and Vegan. The borders were too thick, look at the Holy Shiitake, I mean i would have like the borders to be thinner so that I could get more toppings. I am someone who doesn't eat the outer crust at all. Some areas felt quite doughy and raw, see picture. I loved the overall taste, I am craving for it while I write this review, so yes the pizzas were really good, therefore the 4 stars. But there is scope for improvement!

My server was Kodi and she provided an excellent service! I was able to customize my pizza a little bit and it was delicious. I even tried out a new beer and was very happy with it - the Wise Man Tropical Shirts.

The service was great. We had a lovely waitress and the ambiance was nice and relaxed. The food was just average. The pretzel bites were dense but the cheddar dip was good. The pizza felt stodgy and heavy. The choice of toppings was good. The pizza was not as good as I had expected.

Stopped by here on Saturday around 2pm for lunch after finding out MoJoe's had a 35min wait. Was happy to not have to wait for a table! The food was decent - special shoutouts for the pizzas, as they were definitely the best items. Kosmic Karma was great, I definitely recommend for pesto lovers! Merry Prankster was also great, I really enjoyed the herb aoili drizzle on there! I'll say the ritz burger was not good.. the meat was extremely dry and lacked flavor. I'd stay away from the burgers here. The wings were fine, nothing special.

I have been visiting this Mellow for probably 20 years. They have so many tasty items on the menu. Before I was gluten free I loved the soft pretzel appetizer. Their salads are fabulous. I love the enlightened spinach salad and the Greek salad. Their dressings are really flavorful as well. On this particular Friday night we were seated immediately outside on the deck and the weather was perfect. It's such a fun spot on the corner of Peace and Glenwood. We asked to be seated in our favorite server's section. Eden is positive and energetic and always gets our order right. She quickly brought us our drinks and put in our food order. If you are gluten free, Mellow has good GF pizzas. I always order the Kosmic Karma -- such a great mix of flavors. And, because I'm a sauceaholic I asked for extra pizza sauce on the side. Everything came out just as I ordered. Son ordered a Cobb salad with no dressing. I guess it's yummy enough to eat without dressing!? Son had gluten free brownie for dessert which he said was delicious. Always look forward to visiting Mellow. This was another great experience.

    Great White

Service was very slow but it was because of the kitchen. Our server was very friendly and apologetic especially after the kitchen forgot about one of our two pizzas. They very kindly comped the pizza even though we didn't ask. They rushed the missing pizza and then the crust was very doughy and tasted undercooked. My husband enjoyed his Hawaiian pizza though and the pretzel bites were very good.

Everything except the caesar was good. I guess we didn't expect the caesar to taste THAT charred and the lettuce to not be chopped. For main entrees, we ordered lasagna, lobster ravioli, penne alla vodka, and alfredo. The vodka pasta and lasagna were unflavored and disliked among the table. I would not recommend those dishes. The alfredo was okay. The best dish was the lobster ravioli.

First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

"Best Pizza" many years running back when that actually meant something. Now? It feels less like a restaurant and more like a nostalgic reenactment gone very wrong. The menu still reads like a dream--Carolina crust this, atomic sauce that--but ordering has become a real exercise in imagination. Half the ingredients are apparently on a spiritual journey and no longer physically present. You'll ask for sharp cheddar and get a thoughtful pause, followed by, "We don't have sharp cheddar, we might have a Wisconsin sharp cheddar?" --which, to their credit, has the word "cheddar" in it. The staff move with the energy of a group project that everyone forgot was due today. Pizzas emerge... interpretively. You might order a margherita and receive something that captures its essence, emotionally, if not structurally. It's less "wrong order" and more "pizza as a suggestion." A master of creative problem-solving, this cashier has boldly redefined the concept of "making change." Why fumble with buttons and math when you can simply hand over two beers and call it even? It's less of a transaction and more of a surprise gift exchange--one where the rules are unclear and the outcome is mildly concerning. And the wine list--oh, the wine list--is a beautiful historical document. A relic. A time capsule from at least six months ago, when bottles still existed and hope flowed freely. Now, asking for wine feels like asking about a long-lost friend. "We don't have that," they'll say, gazing into the middle distance. Still, there's something oddly annoying about it all. Like walking into a once-revered theater that still clings to its golden-age reputation. The performances feel like echoes rather than art, the lighting flat where it once dazzled, and every scene drags with the weight of trying to live up to a forgotten past. It's not bad enough to be a disaster--just disappointing enough to make you wonder if the hype was ever real or if you're just eating the ghost of someone else's great experience. Cheers!
