This is our go-to family dinner spot in Pooler. The food is always great with interesting specialty pizzas and the beer selection is excellent. They also have really good happy hour and daily specials. We've been coming for years and will continue to come here for pizza in Pooler. Food and service was excellent. Unfortunately there was an employee eating in the kitchen as well as chewing gum while pulling pizzas out of oven. This employee was NOT wearing a mask at any point while I was in there. The rest of the employees cooking were wearing a mask. We wanted to like it. This was our second time at this location. We like Pooler Parkway for a gas/food stop on our way to/from vacation. There is something "off" about the service at this location. Maybe it's a training issue? The booth was wet and there was food under the table we had to avoid stepping on. The servers are slow to stop by. They stand around and talk to each other. No one smiled at us or thanked us. There were other issues but I don't want to list them all. We generally like Mellow Mushroom so maybe one day we'll try it again in our way through. read more

A group of us have been coming here for months and getting the lunch special; lil salad and 1 slice of pizza. The slices used to be 1/8 of a pizza, now they have reduced them to 1/12 of a pizza. The slice is tiny and parbaked. The quality, cleanliness, and level of service has declined over the same period. Stopped here on a road trip from Florida. The food was okay but the service was bad. We got served a salad without a fork to eat it. The gal who delivered it said she'd get us silverware and I'm positive she had zero intention of ever doing it. After 5 minutes we got it ourself. I never got a refill on my drink. this mellow mushroom is just absolutely awful. the hostesses told us we'd have to wait 20 minutes and we ended up having to wait 2 hours. clearly the hostesses didn't do too well in high school math class. the wait staff was absolutely pitiful, it took me forever to get my water cup filled. i could have gone down to the savannah river and filled it up faster. this is quite possibly the worst mellow mushroom in the united states. read more

I have eaten here a few times and have always had a good experience. Service can be a little slow during normal dinner times and you might have to wait for a bit on the food since it is all made to order, but it's worth it. The pizza is great and my girlfriend loves their salads. This location has a great bar setup as well with a few tvs to catch the games on. read more

I made a to-go order, and when I got here they told me their systems were down, and that they had to put my order back in. As I'm looking around, I see a bunch of teens who are in an alternate universe. I ask them questions like, "When can I pay?" And they look at me with such a dim witted expression. Turned me off of the pretzels after that. However the pizza we ordered, a Funky Q. Chicken, was delicious. Right amount of bbq sauce, not too sweet, big pieces of juicy chicken. Loved it. April 20, 2013 Saturday- late afternoon 4-5PM 2 Adults This has got to be one of the best pizza / Italian chains in the country! My Mom claims that this is the best pizza that she has ever had! I would not go quite that far. I have had the "House Special" several times now. Each and every time the pizza was just perfect. The beer selection is pretty substantial and it had more than your run of the mill beers on tap. The restaurant has been designed well. Open kitchen on one end, seating in the middle, bar area on the other end with plenty of big screen TV's above the bar area that can be seen throughout the restaurant. I have been to several of the Mellow Mushroom restaurants, Orlando, Winter Park, Atlanta, Savannah, Columbia, SC and now Pooler, GA. The wait staff is of similar style in each restaurant! They must go out of their way to hire hippie employees. Not that is bad in of itself. To me it is just amazing how it adds to the atmosphere of stress free, have a good time dinning kind of undertone. I have to admit it really works! read more

Opening night was a complete mad house for sure but the staff kept their stride with our group of almost 20 people. Having been a part of the waiting industry if my first night was with our group I would've rolled in the tip money and cried at the ridiculousness...hopefully that worked out for the group of servers who helped us. ;D This MM has a movie theme with more of a super hero lean with Iron Man, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and a Transformer in the doorway so it's not your usual hippy vibe but it worked well and I think they are playing up for the nearby theaters. The food all had the usual MM deliciousness and it was fun watching the dough get tossed in the kitchen area. Everything was delicious across the board and I think we're all pretty hard core MM fans so if something was amiss we'd probably notice. A few comments...the auto faucets in the bathroom don't work...I mean...kinda...but you end up waving your hands around like you have a fly you're swatting at and when they finally turn on you hope for the best. Also, the staff was really protective of the tables...personally..I'd spend a little more money on sturdy table tops which can handle pizza tray heat and less money on the foam core mounted movie stuff decorating around the kitchen area. But, I don't own a restaurant.. Otherwise it was a great time with great food. :) read more

Went here tonight and were very disappointed. We thought the pizza was taking a little long to arrive and when it finally did it was cold. The waitress and bartender was very sweet but she shouldn't be expected to work the bar and work tables as well. I did say something to her about the cold pizza and she said she would get the manager but since we have been there so long I just wanted to get out of there. So if you want cold pizza this is the place to go. And the salad was swimming in dressing. We won't be back. read more

I love Mellow Mushroom however I did not love THIS Mellow Mushroom. Decor was great, the kids loved it, we were seated quickly and our waitress Vella was fabulous. We got here just in time for happy hour and got great prices on drinks and some appetizers. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer and the bread was burnt to a crisp. My mom and I attempted to just eat it anyway but it truly was not edible. My other disappointment was the pizza. Every other location I've been too I can't stop eating the pizza it's soooo good. But here...one piece and I barely even ate that. The crust tasted off, and seemed to be like a whole grain crust? Weird. If I'm paying that much for pizza I would actually like to enjoy it. I'll be checking out the Mellow Mushroom downtown out next to see if we have better luck with the food. read more
