I never thought I would say this, but Mahlzeit destroys halal guys hands down! What to order? Get the Kalbfleisch (beef) and/or Hahnchenfleisch (chicken) Doner teller plates. Hot diggity. Get both if you dare. The plates come in multiple sizes (mini, XL Jumbo, XXL Jumbo, etc). There's also falafel and salads for you vegetarians out there so no fret! BUT DAYMMMM. Let me tell you about the meats. Both the beef and chicken were so succulent and seasoned flavorfully with the right amount of complimentary rice and fresh bomb salad. OH and the white sauce aka crack syrup. TO DIE FORRRRR. I can't speak Germany (YET), but I will find out what the flavors are in English upon my next visit so I can share more doner teller love with all my Yelper friends. Just eat it and you will trust me. Forever .And maybe be my friend too since I have such great taste in food. Get it!!!!! Until next time-TK is outtie.

When I told the young man that some in my party had never had a Doener, it must have been a challenge :). Look at this! The meat was juicy, and lasted all lthe way to end of my Doener. Yes, I ate this whole thing! The vegetables were fresh, and the sauce excellent. I mention that the meat lasted all the way through my sandwich because in the States, the meat is literally on top and the rest is veggies. When I go here the next time, I am showing them what a Doener SHOULD look like. It was still hot in Frankfurt when I visited a few weeks ago, so we sat outside to catch the breeze. Everything was very clean, and the staff was super friendly. I am coming back on a regular basis, this will be one of my weekly stops again.

Parking a car has gotten worse in that area. Your best bet is to walk or take the Strassenbahn, the stop is right in front of the door.

I am a Lahmacun afficionado. I travel all over Europe and everywhere I go I seek out lahmacun…read more Near the beginning of the year I came in around 6pm. The place seemed Clean, but not too Bright. Sort of like lounge lighting. Friendly service. The Meat sticks looked nicely seared so I was looking forward to a nice snack. Of course I ordered Lahmacun. If you know Lahmacun, then you know the bread/dough is important. "World of Kebap" gets it right on the money. The dough is cooked in a large wood burning oven in the middle of the restaurant. It came out ever so slightly charry, giving it an initial crunch on top of the slightly chewy goodness. The relishes and condiments were fresh and flavorful, but did not overpower. I added a little dry chili at the table. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the meat or should I say, lack thereof. Like I said, I've been around and had my fair share of Lahmacun. Usually I end up with almost too much meat and the guy making it seems to exert some effort rolling it up. Here, tonight, not so much. I'm not saying I need a pound of Donerfliesh, but somewhere in the middle would be nice. I would definitely go back. You can check my other reviews for similar cuisine nearby.

The only thing that may turn people not familiar with the area off is the restaurant is kind of hidden in an area that you wouldn't think there would be a restaurant. Very local. The train station is directly across the street.

Normally I will take serious stars away for two things: 1) WC not in order (not functioning) and 2) weak service. Hindukusch served up both of those. On the other hand there was only one guy working (presumably the owner). Guy was too busy talking on mobile to keep an eye on our table. Drink orders were forgotten, dishes stayed too long on table. This was a Sunday evening fairly early. But I still hesitate too give him a one or two star rating. The food was really, really good and priced OK. We'll probably be back at some point and hopefully they'll have their plumbing fixed and more staff available. Again, food was A-OK.
