Nice views, cool boats/yachts, awesome wildlife, kind of snobby people. They literally have a sign up that says "Yes this is a private dock, if you don't like it, don't look". Asked around to see if they allowed docking of jet skis and I was met with rude comments like "this harbor is for full sized yachts, you can dump your jet ski in at the public boat launch in the park". I was looking to buy/lease a slip spot to store my jetski on the harbor. Needless to say, I'll be looking elsewhere, but if you are a bragadocious big boat owner, this is the spot for you. read more

This marina is very convenient to the ICW and the docks have just been re done. It is in a great location close to downtown and many shops and restaurants. The staff is very attentive, they were flexible and gave us a great slip to accommodate our boat needs and had no problem letting us stay a few hours later than checkout as we did some minor maintenance to our boat before getting underway. The price per foot is also very reasonable. As of this writing the bathhouse is being remodeled. read more

Not a very nice marina. We were anchored out and went to harbor to meet family for dinner. Sign on fuel dock "$20 landing fee". Called restaurant, they said call dock master for tie up location. Dock master says no dinghy's allowed. Two waterfront restaurants, but no tie up allowed. Plenty of empty dock space. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I tried to dock at 4:45 PM on a Tuesday to take advantage of the great Charthouse happy hour. The Charthouse has several slips directly in front of the restaurant and I called and they said they were under the control of the Melbourne harbor Dockmaster. I called the Dockmaster who seemed very inconvenienced by this request. He said it was a $10 charge to dock there for dinner and I guess there is no reimbursement. I told him I could be there by 5 PM and he said normally if I'm staying after five they charge an overnight fee which I believe is about two dollars per foot...And I have no need for an overnight slip, electricity or water so that seemed a bit ridiculous. I tried to amend my request to satisfy him, but basically he wanted nothing to do with me. All in all the Takeaway is that he was rude, non-accommodating, and really just didn't care about my request to the point where he never even asked what size my vessel was or what my intentions were other than me telling him I was there for dinner. I travel up and down the East Coast as well as out to the Caribbean and I have stopped at many Charthouse Locations along the eastern seaboard. Typically the Charthouse or the controlling marina is outstanding! But definitely not in this case! I decided not to go in there tonight even though I have been at those very docks many many many many times before I realized they were owned by the Marina. No one has ever question me coming in there for dinner, so I always assumed they were owned by the Charthouse. I guess I will just continue to go in there in the future since they pay very little attention to those docks and they'll miss out on the $10 each time.... Very disappointing if this is a private marina there is not much I can do about it especially if I talk to the owner, but if it is a city marina which I will find out I will definitely talk to the city about having them change the attitude. read more

Dockmaster is completely rude and belligerent. We parked our dinghy at the most eastern sea wall because the marina was not open. Upon returning 3 hours later we see him coming up the dock with obvious short man syndrome holding our gas tank and dinghy key. He refused to return it without a $20 payment. We have frequented this marina and rented multiple transient slips in the past but will never be back. I'm sorry he's short, but he doesn't have to take it out on the rest of society. We would have gladly paid a fee to park if they were open. Shame on this business! read more
