Being the nearest agent, I…read morechose Cas Fontenot when I transferred my policy to Louisiana (note: unless you want your premiums to double, try to avoid insuring your vehicle in Louisiana....) Anyhow, it has been 4+ years since then, and in my 10+ years of driving, I have never had to file a claim until the hail storm in February. Thus, it took 10+ years for me to experience any real issues with State Farm. As soon as that hail storm happened, I knew they were going to be flooded with claims, so about 10pm that same night I went onto the State Farm app and submitted the claim. (yay technology!) About a week passed without hearing anything from anyone. (boo technology) Finally they called to schedule an appointment with the adjuster at one of those "tent city" disaster claim popups. They wanted to schedule it the day of my wedding, which wasn't going to happen, so we scheduled it for 2 days afterwards. I showed up at my ridiculously early 7:15am appointment, only to be turned away because of some apparent computer glitch (or misinformed call center rep) that actually scheduled it for the following week. Argh. So much for first come, first served. So I got to drive around my fairly new-ish car with a million hail dents for about 3 weeks before seeing the adjuster and getting my repair check. The process went smoothly afterwards. They cut me a check, they were off by about $800, my body shop got them to cover the difference, car looks fine. My only other complaint is that these people close early without warning. I made my husband get to their office well before 5pm on a Friday to drop off a document that they needed from him, and at 4:40pm, nobody was in. The hours on the website and on the door to the building both say 5pm.

They always go out of their way to help me, no matter what the situation is. When I go into the office, it's always decorated so nicely for every holiday. I recommend anyone who is looking for good customer service to contact Cas Fontenot's office and anyone you speak to in the office will go above and beyond to help you. Good customer service is hard to find these days, so whenever I am treated good I like to acknowledge it. They really treat you like family there. I am one happy customer! KC

Horrific experience with Adam in this office. Not only did he almost let my home insurance policy lapse in 2023 (just because he didn't pay attention or do his job), but in 2024 he sends me a text message to inform me that they hired an underwriter to drive past my home 7 months earlier who determined because I had placed 2 "For Rent" signs in my front yard (for better visibility if a car was parked in front of the house) that the 2 signs INSTANTLY meant that I had reconstructed the entire house to now be a duplex and that the 2 signs equaled 2 homes now instead of one at the property. Not only was the house NEVER a duplex, but this underwriter they hired waited 7 months before changing my policy with no notice and then Sarah's office waited an initial month before sending me a text message to let me know they not only changed the policy, but they had written it incorrectly in 2023 and now I had to pay to correct it, plus pay the new insurance rate for 2024 since they had to write a brand new policy to correct their own mistakes. No one has any idea what they are doing in this office and they are completely incompetent between re-writing new policies I never requested and charging me more for their mistakes - I would highly recommend working with any other insurance office than this one.
