Mel is amazing! She was super personable at our initial meetings. As for the wedding day itself, she just gets it -- she can tailor her approach on the wedding day to what the wedding party needs. The course of the evening went slightly differently than planned in terms of timing (it really does fly by!) but she remained flexible and made sure we had all of the pictures we needed. Mel was a nice calming presence and made us feel like a million bucks. According to our sneak preview pictures, she also made us LOOK like a million bucks! Would recommend her to anyone!! Mel photographed our wedding 4/9/16! I cannot recommend her enough!!! Mel really takes the time to get to know you as a couple from the very first meeting, which helps her do an amazing job! She spent a lot of time with us at our planning meetings to ensure that she could capture all the specific photos that we wanted! She is very calm and comforting, which helps with the nervousness of a wedding and wedding planning! She went above and beyond, posting a sneak peak the day after our wedding! Mel and her assistant photographed our wedding in October (sorry for the late review). Mel is awesome! We loved the pictures that she took of us. Our only complaint is with the pictures taken by her assistant (sorry!). The groomsmen photos were awkwardly staged and no direction was really given. While we understand some photos should be natural we would have preferred more guidance with the guys. On the same note, Mel was amazing when photographing myself, bridesmaids, mother, mother in law and flowers girls and my husband and I at our venue. I would recommend Mel to anyone who asked. Just be aware if you have an assistant along with Mel you should be more proactive in staging. read more

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Mel for our wedding this past weekend. When we first reached out to her, she quickly responded and set up a meeting. The second we sat down with her we knew that she was our photographer. Mel is extremely personable, she takes the time to ask questions and get to know you as a couple and work with your style. She was happy to joke around with us but was still professional to a tee. Throughout the planning process we could count on Mel to check in and make sure everything was going well, and she took the time to meet with us in person two weeks before our big day, which really put our minds at ease. I don't think there are words that adequately describe how wonderful Mel and her assistant were on our wedding day. They were patient when our wedding party was crazy, they were so enthusiastic that it made my husband and I double over laughing, they went to great lengths to get the shots that every bride dreams about. When I had a personal request they, without hesitation, would work with me, never against me. They also directed us so we looked amazing and not like the doofuses we are. Mel is incredible. Her work is incredible. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and I wouldn't not hesitate for an instant in highly recommending her for any photography jobs, but especially weddings.
