I ordered the lunch special which consisted of 12 pieces of sushi and a small glass of coke. My only problem was that for the price the portions are extremely small, however, the sushi is very tasty. My friend ordered a bento box which had fried dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable rice and edamame. We were less than impressed with the edamame and the dumplings were too hard. For dessert we had the special which was jasmine tea or Turkish coffee with roasted honey coated walnuts. The jasmine tea was delicious and my favorite part of the entire meal! One thing that left a bitter taste in my mouth was the stinginess of the restaurant. I asked for a small glass of water to take some medicine and I was charged a ridiculous amount. Not classy and not fitting for the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience. The atmosphere is calm and it's a nice place to catch up with old friends.

Basically letting you know that you're only commercially important because you have money/airline points and not very important. Regardless, directions to CIP are fairly straightforward but you really gotta follow the signs, some of which might seem a bit confusing though if you mess it up you can always do another loop without much time loss since the airport isn't too big. The parking lot in front of CIP lounge is not the cheapest but I guess it's average for Turkey. It's free I think for the first 10 mins or so, so if someone is just dropping you off then it shouldn't be an issue. It's always quite busy and filled with cars but we've never had an issue finding a spot before. There's no place to sit inside before security, which is literally right at the entrance when you walk in. There are some spots to sit outside if you're early and want to spend a bit more time with loved ones before saying goodbye. Once through security there's plenty of seating available. With COVID they put signs on certain seats in an effort to block them and ensure 6 feet distance between guests. They used to have an OK selection of drinks, food but again with COVID they'd made a few changes and only available options were now in cans/plastic bottles for drinks and individually wrapped/packaged for food. Which sucks in terms of selection but obviously is really good in terms of safety/cleanliness. Bathrooms are clean so that's always a plus. The best part about Turkish airport lounges for business/first class is you don't have to worry about walking to your gate ever because they will take you there directly by bus. It's awesome. They announce flight numbers and city when the bus for that specific flight comes by the lounge. You hop on the bus and are directly taken to your plane - not even the gate. If traveling business or first class would definitely recommend just waiting here instead of at the gate.

The food offerings are kind of international eclectic, rather than Turkish. That is, it is mostly pasta, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. The dishes we ordered were very good and portions were ample! My fettuccine with chicken & spinach was perfectly done. The staff was very friendly and English was no problem. Don't miss the mounds of Turkish Delight as you leave. Better than an after dinner mint!
