The week before Thanksgiving I popped in to parooz & see what fun things I can pick up. A nice man caught me & got my beer from the back & took it to the front for me. I spent time looking around at the shiny bottles & fancy labels. So many choices. I normally stick to what I like & don't experiment much, but a helpful young lady helped answe mixing questions, which was kind of her. All employees are there to help, answer questions & get you what you need! Friendly too!! They have an officer on-site every day to keep the community safe. I always say hi to him (haven't seen a female yet, but would offer her a hi as well, of course). Anyway, reasonable prices, well stocked, friendly & ALWAYS busy!! Parking is easy, just be careful!!! About 25% of their items are refrigerated so if you're looking to have it that day, you may want to check those out first. This package store used to be so close to me, and even when I'm not as close anymore I still come here sometimes. They have a great selection of Beer, Wine, Rum and Tequila. They have so much more but that is what I'm usually looking for. There isn't plenty of parking but personally I've never had any issues with it. Tried to buy about $50 worth of various liquor and wine Thursday afternoon around 1:30, but chose not to wait in a 5 person line to do so. One register open, while other employees were standing together near the front of the store just yoking it up between themselves, doing nothing like maybe, opening up a 2nd register to help customers get checked out. I intentionally walked up to where they were standing, set down my items, and walked out the door. I'll stand in lines when businesses are giving ME money, but not when it's me who is giving out the money. Thank goodness! We'd searched all over the eastern Atlanta burbs for a decent selection of craft beers, and Mega Package Store had it! They had no cases on the floor, but we made room in the refer when we got to our home on wheels! They seemed to have a good selection of wines and spirits as well, though I haven't been able to find my fave Yukon Jack's Schnapps across several states, so I didn't really expect to find it. We bought like five different stouts and two six packs of our fave Deschutes brand beer and porter. We mentioned how good the Deschutes Obsidian Stout is, just in case they could get some in. Not sure if the cashier passed along the message, but we'll definitely go back again before we fly south with the other snowbirds. read more

HELP!!!!!! Could someone please tell me what's a good Prosecco to make mimosas? I love coming to this spirit shop, because they have a very large variety of bottles of spirits to choose from. I had no idea about what brand to choose for mimosas, for brunch with my mom on tomorrow for Mother's Day. I came here and was told by a very nice lady how to choose the taste for me. I'm still a little confused considering I don't really drink. Heck!! If it's not a Margarita or a Baileys type drink. I'm completely lost. Everything in the store is very well organized according to the spirits type. There's always someone around to help with what your looking for. But!!! What always get me is the small travel size bottles at the check out. I find myself buying between 3-6 little bottles. Because I collect them. This is my go to store on this side of town. If I could give Mega Package Store a "0" star, I would. I visit this store all the time. I was there this week to make a purchase. The store stocked the bottles close to the edge and I did not realize it when I selected the bottle next to it. Well as you are probably guessing.....The poorly stocked bottle on the shelf came tumbling down, crashed and broke. I stated it was not my fault and two of the employees agreed, well they insisted I pay for the broken bottle. I explained the issue again, but of course they would not accept any blame and I paid full price for the broken bottle. Mind you, it's not the money, it's the principal of them not owning their part of the issue. They did not offer anything, not even to spilt the cost. My recommendation to Mega Package Store is, stop stuffing bottles on the self that are not secure; placing bottles on the edge of the self; or forced so tightly on the shelf it creates issues. read more

My wife bought a 4 pack of Six Bridges Long Drink cans for a girls trip on Feb 10th. She tried one on the trip and said it was disgusting. I thought she didn't like the long drink flavor but when I tried one a week or so later, it WAS disgusting. My daughter tried the third one this past weekend and agreed that it had gone bad. She looked at the bottom of the can and noticed it was packaged in May of 2022. I took the remaining full unopened can along with the remaining empty can and the receipt to ask for a refund and the manager gave me a spectacularly hard time about how long it had been since we bought the spoiled drinks and that I didn't have all four cans. He absolutely refused to open the last can to smell or taste it and said the pack date meant nothing even though sodas and beers usually have best by dates of about six months after they are packed. When I suggested that he remove any remaining long drinks from the shelves, he refused. He finally issued me a refund and had the off duty police officer firmly suggest that I leave the premises. I have shopped at this package store since they opened as the Beverage Superstore close to 30 years ago but I will never shop here again. read more

This place is absolutely enormous! From all the major types of liquors to beer and wine they really have it all. So many different brands and price points for all the typical types (vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila, etc) Store is sectioned out really well and all similar types are kept together. What was really nice is they have a great selection of things to mix with your drinks. Lemonade, sprite, soda water, etc. In addition they have pre-mixed drinks if you don't want to have to figure out the right mixtures. Staff was helpful and offered to help us find what we wanted (if we knew what we were after). Also, I thought this was interesting they had an on duty police officer patrolling the store to make sure everyone was on their best behavior. Also, they have some really high end ($$$$) liquors if your looking to pick something up for a special night/celebration. Will totally return if I find myself in the area and want to find something for now or look for a unique brand to bring back home. read more

Ok I like this store because their Inventory is massive. Anything you can think of, it's here. It's Asian owned so if you black will be watched and followed. My bf just turned 21 so we went to get him something, FOR HIM, not me. As we were trying to check out the lady asked for id, of course he showed her, she asked for mine but i didn't have mine on me. She quickly went to grab security and he rudely said we have to cancel the sale, just because i didn't have my id with me. Both very rude, saying we can't buy anything there cause we both needed an id. the lady could've easily said that in the first place. We would've walked out before security was involved. Smh i have had so many friends come here and they never asked for the second persons id. read more

Another great liquor store. I remember on a holiday weekend that i had to prepare for a cookout(which was a disaster btw) so i rushed here with a list. The staff were very helpful and helped me locate the HTF(hard to find) items. Returned here this past weekend looking for Everclear and they were so very helpful again. I also picked up some moonshine and i noticed they have some Champagne I had been looking for so i will return for that. read more

This place here is like an oasis. From imported to domestic on beers, they pretty much have them all. Of course the imported beers will be higher than the domestic. There's a beer I hadn't had in a while and I wanted some which was Highland Gaelic Ale. Those are $9.79 per 6 pack. So again for imported you will pay. I've also seen some Remy Martin in this establishment that goes up to $9,300 and some change!! That's a car!! I have photos if you don't believe me. They sell your kegs, half kegs and all of that good stuff. Of course you'll have to put a deposit down for the keg which if I'm not mistaken is between $50-$75.00. It also depends on what type of beer you're buying also in the keg that will dictate how much you will pay total including the deposit. When I want some imported beer that I can't find anywhere else, I'll come to this spot. read more

Stopped in a hurry to the store today to grab fixings for the wife who wanted Margaritas. Upon entering, I noticed her favorite wine on sale to my left. Great prices. So, let's grab two bottles! In the process, I hooked another bottle(or two) on the shelf and off they went only to meet the concrete floor, exploding in multiple directions. Me, in flip flops, could only stand there embarrassed as a team of MP employees saved me from broken glass and wine. They were kind and gracious. The owner, only worried of my safety, would not let me pay for the broken bottles. Thanks to all. Especially the you lady who ran to get wet towels to help clean me and my wine stained flip flops! read more

This was my go-to spot for years. I've never been a fan of the posturing security guards that are always glaring at you with their arms crossed, but what are you gonna do, right? They have to protect their product since their layout is like a disorganized mini-warehouse. But all of this is ok--because it had this mom and pop feel, and the cashiers were generally very friendly. Then last week happened. After a few run-ins with a blonde cashier that doesn't greet you or say a word, has an unpleasant face on when ringing you up, etc., my perception of the place changed. I went in and bought around $100 worth of stuff...handle of sapphire, Midori, two 6 packs, and two sets of scotch glasses. I know, I know...why would I buy glasses there? Well I did it, dammit. And when I get home, I find there is no receipt in the bag, and I open the box to the scotch glasses and find that they are littered with imperfections (bubble) and one has a chip on the lip of the glass. Maybe I'm overreacting about the bubbles, but I like to enjoy expensive scotch, and I'd rather not have company over and pour $120 scotch into a chipped, bubbles up glass for my friends, right? So I call in, and this and woman who sounds like it's laborious to mutter (she doesn't speak--she regurgitates the air she breathes into a guttural utterance that resembles an uneducated Daria from MTV. She eventually (after saying "so what do you want me to do") agrees to text me a copy of the receipt so I don't drive back to the store only to be returned for no receipt and no proof of conversation. The text never came, so I call today, ask for a manager, and this guy gets on the phone already giving no shiets. He literally told me to call back later. I said no--not a chance. I want to resolve this now, and he says "I have nothing to do with this. I told you to call back because the lady you dealt with will be here." Then it all goes downhill, I tell him that I don't have faith in her resolving it, as she already failed to send a text with the receipt. He argues this, and ends by saying he is looking at the receipt, and I can come and get it. I told him to work on his customer service, that I would throw the glasses out and never come back. read more

Although this place improved their selection of liquors and beer considerably after the ownership change, the customer service is horrible. There are a few folks who are actually knowledgeable, friendly, and polite, but the cashiers are often rude and short. I drop in every couple of months and keep hoping that the bad apples are gone, but no, they are still there. It's disappointing, to say the least. read more

Disclaimer: this review is written in white hot anger (which should not be how I leave a liquor store) My husband and I have been frequenting this establishment for years (well semi frequently as of late since we had a kid) but we will never be coming here again. My husband this evening was accosted by I'm guessing private security who accused him of shoplifting where he only picked up a bottle and put it back later. Once he found out that he was grossly mistaken, no apologies, no explanations, nothing. I know that times are tough these days but this level of un professionalism is absurd. Everytime I have stepped foot into this store, I get followed by security everywhere. I almost want to ask if they'd like to hold my hand as I shop. I recently came here and they had a bottle of wine at a certain price on the shelf. When it came to check out time, the bottle rang up three times what it was labeled on the shelf. He ended up giving it to me at cost after seeing how uncomfortable we felt. Stay away from this place, the security is disrespectful and will touch you without permission. I went last night on nye with a girl friend. The short, black security officer who is bald had it out for us as soon as we stepped in. We accidentally entered through the exit door (we are not from the area and couldn't read the sign saying to use the other door bc the door was automatic and someone was leaving through it) and he made us leave back out and go through the other door. No problem at all, we thought he was being a little extra but we didn't complain or try to talk back. He also had a problem with how we were standing in line and said we were cluttering "his walkway". It wasn't a walkway it was the checkout area so no one would be walking through it all unless they were finished checking out and leaving out the door. And since we were next in line, we weren't blocking anyone else. But what really made me question what was up with the man was when he put his arm and whole body between me and my friend just to go through us. No excuse me, no walking around us, he literally pushed his whole self through us while we were standing beside each other. And when i told him it was rude and uncalled for he laughed and said "wow ok" and walked away. No apology or anything. As crowded as the store was i was very impressed on how the cashiers cleared most of the line quickly and they also had a great selection of wine/alcohol. The rude security person who takes advantage of his "authority" is the only reason they get this review. Stay away! read more

I have always loved this store. The staff are friendly and they always carry heavy packages to the car. But I went yesterday, and many staff members and cashiers had no masks. Customers shopping in groups with no masks. Lots of customers in the store. Sadly, I will not be returning.
