Located on a regular residential street a bit out of the centro, the Burger Bistrô is not your…read moretypical Belo Horizonte restaurant. It is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The design is retro with some booths, Marilyn Monroe photos on the walls, old coke bottles, etcetera.
The menu is American inspired with mostly burgers on offer. There are onion rings and fries as well (the burgers do not come with fries standard). For desert there are icecream milkshakes in a range of flavors and an cookie-icecream sandwich.
I was not impressed with the French fries. Very bland, no crispiness. Worse than McDonalds. My black burger (R$25) was decent size and well prepared, but it was very sweet. Some greens or a slice of tomato would have been nice. My table partners were happier with their burgers than I was with mine.
Sadly, the service was extreeemely slow - at least on the (busy) Saturday evening that we visited. It took forever to place an order and even longer for the food to be served.
