I had a frustrating experience attempting to obtain my medical test results from this office. The…read morestaff there is misinformed and untrained. Pure foolery. How you don't know HIPPA laws as an healthcare provide. After requesting a copy of my records, I was informed that it is their "protocol" to withhold results until I speak directly with the provider. When I referenced my right to access my records under HIPAA, I was told I was incorrect. While I understand providers may prefer to review results with patients, this should not be a requirement to release records. Patients have the right to access their own health information, and being given conflicting information made the process unnecessarily difficult. Communication was limited to phone calls and a general contact form, with no clear way to reach a medical records or compliance representative. This made it challenging to resolve the issue efficiently. I hope the office reviews its policies and staff training to ensure patients are given accurate information about their rights and a more straightforward process for accessing their records.

He almost convinced me not to do it but supported my decision anyway. By day two I was back feeling nauseous and ready to quit. He let me know what was going on and what I could do to stop it. I think what i like most about my Dr. is he respects the fact that I hate medication (pills or other) and he tries his hardest to prescribe me other remedies to rid me of whatever ails me. The staff if pretty okay and the waiting room always seems to have at least three people infront of me whenever i go....even if I walk in first (its like they sleep there). Place is always clean, bathroom doesn't stink up the place, and most importantly (for someone who gets bored as quickly as myself) the magazines in the waiting room are current. The one star short of 5 is due to their "cash only" policy.

He did not once look at his watch like other doctor's do. The insurance companies tell the doctor's to spend no more than 15 minutes with each patient. My Mother also goes to him for her needs, as well as myself. After a first visit, he gave me a thorough examination, and spent almost 1 hour with me. I strongly recommend anyone in need of some old fashion doctoring like we had years ago, to patronize Dr. Scott. He has a wonderful staff. His Assistant's Evelyn and Joan are both kind, compassionate and sympathetic. Dr. Scott and his staff are a rare find in today's frenzied society. In fact, I wish I could clone him!!
