Terry was the first to call back and inquire about the job. He showed up on time, looked at the job and sprayed some of the hard spots, which were few, and got to work. I've been a client of Thot Communications for over 9 years. I'm ashamed that I'm just now giving…read morehim a Yelp review. During that time I've been personally taken care of by the Owner and Creative Director Jim Allison. He is one of the easiest people I've ever worked with in any industry - ever. His prices are fair and I'm sure he routinely puts in more hours than estimated just to avoid raising the price. He really wants to get it done right and on time. He even plays nice with other designers and creative professionals! I can't tell you how much that means in an era when doing those basic things well is so rare for businesses. He knows his stuff and has designed some amazing things for me and the companies I've worked for. I've bought just about everything a guy can from Thot Communications: Brand and Logo Development; Business Cards; Stationary Designs; Brochures (sometimes, very fancy and complicated ones); catalogs; websites (yes, websites); Online art elements; clothing designs; food packaging; shipping boxes; mailing campaigns; art directing photo and video shoots; movie presentations; email campaign designs; did I miss anything? I like to try to leave some critique on my reviews so that they can be objective and useful, but I can't think of anything that would warrant it. I'm happy with my 5-star rating above! Basically, if you're looking to work with a designer who can just about do anything and doesn't have an ego, then this is the one.

Unfortunately I had one of the most unprofessional and discouraging experiences with this company…read more I placed a relatively small rush order for embroidery, was guaranteed one date (end of August) and when I called to get an update on the order and when I could pick up the owner told me (just after Fourth of July) that he had bought food for the entire production staff that gave them food poisoning and delayed our order. Being a reasonable person I believed this and waited another THREE WEEKS after the order was delayed a week. Finally I am told all but one item is ready for pickup, I go to pick up and the receptionist shares what I can only assume is the at least partial truth behind the food poisoning lie - the embroiderer had left with little to no notice. Not only was the staff very difficult to get a hold of, when I did get a hold of the owner he lied to me! Anyway fast forward to what is now 3 months later and after many calls to follow up including a promise to mail the final item that they were waiting on receipt of a larger size for, we still don't have that item. The items we do have were done incorrectly all of them in the wrong color and one item completely not what we ordered.

On a short deadline Magnetic Sign Company designed and printed a banner for my business. I decided…read morewith one week to go that I wanted to be in a local parade. I have vehicle graphics on my van (done by Magnetic Sign Company) but in a parade I wanted people to see me coming. So I talked to the people at Magnetic Sign and they recommended a banner to put on top of my van. They helped me with the design and than printed it out and delivered it all within the space of 1 week. The part that put them over the top was they helped me design a PVC frame to put the banner in and mount it on my van. The cost of the frame was less than $15. That made my van stand out in the parade. Now I have a banner for my events and have a parade ready kit. They not only helped me with my sign needs but they helped me with brain storm marketing idea's. They have been in business for over 20 years so they have seen a lot of business and they share those tips with me.

I was referred to use this company by an excellent real estate agent who had done incredible work…read morewith me. Unfortunately Dana and Daniel are unprofessional on every level. Breezed past deadlines, added extensions despite substantial loans being impacted by that, turned in incomplete unusable plans. Ableist. Offered to host meetings at my space due to my being in a wheelchair. Then refused and switched to phone meetings during which they bickered and talked about me as if I was not present in the conversation, there were connectivity issues with their speakers causing glitches in the connection they then mistakenly assumed were pauses. Refused to meet in person to correct any of their errors. Then made a building with a ladder and more than one story when the request was for a wheelchair accessible building. Literally fraudulently representing what they will do. I was still charged full price to the tune of more than $6000. They followed that bill up with a salty message blaming me and cutting all communication ties. The ego and entitlement of Dana and Daniel is absolutely unfounded by their talents or commitment level. Save yourself the trouble, replacing them with *competent professionals* that communicate like responsible adults was a breeze and the "project" they were too personally taxed to explain the logic of, revise or complete...it took 2 meetings to the 6+ they managed to need while ignoring the entire essential use of the space and content of the brief. Every other architect designer and contractor was floored by the repeated lack of quality and ethics demonstrated here. This company does not do what they contractually promise or the minimum for ethical business practice. Absolutely horrible to be taken advantage of as a small business owner in every way and very very memorable
