This review marks my 2300th. It is fitting that it's about preparing to travel to the States, which…read moreI haven't done since early March 2020. I originally booked an appointment through Specialty Rx Pharmacy for a COVID-19 antigen test. When I arrived at the pharmacy, I was directed over to Ellesmere Healthcare Centre to check in. I got Joan at reception, who was the sweetest woman. I indicated that I had an appointment at 10:45 am. She found me and asked that I fill out a short form. The last question in a series of five was a trick. Most of the questions had me answer no. The last one asked, "Are you fully vaccinated?" I checked no accidentally. Oops! We got that straightened out. You do need to provide proof that you are you. A passport or driver's licence work. I provided the latter. Done! I had already provided my health card details online, so I didn't need to flash that. It was strange, but I'm guessing that my driver's licence proof reinforced my health card information. She confirmed that I was travelling to the States. You do need to have this antigen test within 72 hours before your departure. She had to think about my situation. I said that it was more like 52 hours. We both chuckled, as she implied that math was not her strong suit. She entered my information into the system. I had added my credit card information online, but her payment system was down. We settled payment at the pharmacy, which was smooth and seamless. When she was ready, we headed over to a medical room. She let me know that I could keep my mask on, but to lower it enough for her to swab both nostrils. She used a swab with a brush tip. She swabbed and it felt like a tickle, but without my bursting out in laughter. It was oddly enjoyable. Who knew?! She let me know that it would take ten minutes for my test result. She said that I could come back in ten minutes. I indicated that I'd wait in the waiting area, which was cool with her. Sure enough, ten minutes later, she had my printed report ready. She had also sent me a digital version of it. She asked that I look over all details to make sure that everything was good. It was. I wished her a great day. She wished me a safe trip. It was such a great experience. This clinic does take patients. It doesn't take walk-in patients, but you can book an appointment to see a doctor. The clinic is clean. The pharmacy and clinic are under one roof without any walls when you are inside. Both businesses have separate entrances. I'm guessing that it's a design trend these days. There is plenty of parking at this plaza. I wish that Chatime were open when I was there. I'll need to come back and check it out, along with the other stores. I'd return here for future antigen tests for travel. The report quality is perfect and it was $39. (429)

Yes this place appears ghetto. Trying to cram a lot in a small space…read more... If you come on a weekend, expect to wait an hour and a half or more for walk in. I had a Saturday appointment at 12pm and wasn't seen until one hour later. The receptionists were friendly. When the place was packed and busy, they remained even-tempered and patient, which as you know, you don't often see at walk in clinics I went in for a travel vaccination. I saw dr. Van who was nice, simple, straight forward and quick. The doctor came in and read off of a public access website what I needed for my trip, asked whatever he needed to in order to ensure safety. He gave me the shot and wrote any additional prescriptions. It was quick and clean. He made recommendations and seemed to have my best interests at heart. FYI when you get your travel stuff there you pay for it and they give it to you right away. I asked to see a doctor about non-travel stuff and was seen by Dr. Lionel Mandell. He was thorough in his assessment before suggesting a diagnosis. He was nice and approachable. I recommend this place, but for appointments during the week.

At first glance: The clinic is run down and not modern at all. From the exam rooms to the washroom…read moreand to the waiting area everything seems rustic and worn down. There is plenty of seating room but definitely not enough seats for the amount of people waiting. I have been to many walk-in clinics in my lifetime as finding a family doctor in the He GTA that is what I am looking for is pretty much close to impossible. Waiting at walk-ins is pretty much inevitable but this experience was just horrendous. As I checked in as a new walk-in patient there were four front desk personnel all chatting and ignored my presence. When she finally took time away from her personal chit chat I was not greeted with a smile or any friendly gesture at all. They were quite impatient and rude. After sitting for an hour and a half and seeing patients come and go... I was becoming slightly agitated as to why there were people who came way after me and was seen before me. So I approached the front desk and inquired how many more clients ahead of me. She glanced at her chart - I stole a glance too and she said that I was next. But wait - that was not true because when I looked at the chart there were names below me and before me that had already been checked off and seen. Which means that they missed my name and failed to call me (note: I did not leave the clinic once during the waiting period so I did not miss my name). It was just terrible that the staff did not apologize at all. On the other hand, the female doctor I had seen and read reviews before going to this unprofessional clinic was amazing. She made my visit worthwhile. I have been looking to find a female doctor who was as friendly, thorough, and compassionate as her. Dr. Trina Liew. Unfortunately she only works Mondays & Thursdays and does not accept patients, otherwise I would have loved to take her as my family doctor. I can't comment on the other doctors, but for those looking to find a very good female practitioner, I would recommend Dr. Trina Liew - if you can put up with the office and their staff that is. Overall, I would never come here unless I had issues that I only feel comfortable expressing in front of a female doctor because the staff were just extremely unprofessional and the wait times are excruciatingly long - and they had just opened when I got there too ! I will be back in the future and will make an update if anything changes.

There's a pharmacy attached and it leads right to a very new and shiny waiting room! When I came in there was no wait at all! I'm talking like 5 minutes tops! Doesn't get any quicker then that! Dr. Leung was very informative, friendly and professional! He even helped me get the best option and was honest on how ridiculous pricing is for meds. He seemed like he really knew his stuff. The pharmacist, Brent was super friendly as well! Making conversation and all that good stuff. Five stars for sure for this place! They are even having a female physician come on board in March so keep that in mind as well! Definitely recommend this place!

I'm confused with this doctor (Jerry Leung). He stands up in the middle of a consult with my…read moredaughter and tells us that he's referring us to his colleague. Then one of the receptionists asked us if we were using our phones and we both answered no. We had our phones out but not in use - we were not even looking at our phones at all. He's abrupt and has the worst bedside manner that I've ever encountered in a doctor. I come from a family of medical practitioners who are specialists in the practice of oncology and Pediatric pulmonology plus a slew of nurses and I know how stressful their job is but this dude is so unprofessional and dismissive. My family doctor just retired and we are just waiting for the patient file transfer to another doctor. I'm thinking it may just be better to go into the emergency room at any hospital compared to this doctor and clinic. I will give 0 star, unfortunately it doesn't have that option. The staff more than makes up for this doctor's bad manners though I don't think OHIP should be charged anything for this dreadful consultation - if you could even call it that.
