At the end of February 2021 was driving from Edmonton to Yellowknife and stopped for gas in Whitecourt. After fueling, the truck would not start - no click from the starter - just nothing. Tried boosting with no result. Called for a tow truck and had it taken to the nearest auto repair shop: Meckenics. I had called them, and was advised they would try to look at the truck, but were fully booked with repairs, so could not promise to get the truck running today. On arrival with the tow truck they found a way to get the truck into the garage for a look. Found the starter was the problem. Took the time to call two places to find the lowest-cost starter, picked it up and installed it - all within 2 hours! Awesome customer service! Reasonably-priced. Highly recommend these folks if you need auto service while on the highway near Whitecourt. read more
