A couple minutes later my food is ready and I'm getting some blazing-hot-sauce and heading to the little white truck to get out of the blowy cold. Tacos are lightly seasoned and topped with pico and avacado, onions and lime on the side. Chicken is cooked through but still soft and moist. Same for the steak but with some crispy edges. Grilled onions and lime squeezings make for a fine dinner. Yay! I'm a fan!

The menu has a few item types with a large variety of meat choices, or vegetables. There is also a special of three tacos with rice and beans for $7, which is what I got. The food was prepared to order and took about five minutes. The tacos were overstuffed (that's a good thing) with meat and onions. The green salsa was excellent and not too spicy and next time I will try the next spice level up. Oh yeah, the beans are fantastic...but the tacos are definitely the stand out here.

The truck is bright, covered in the flag of the Philippines and Island decor. When I left the nail salon, I realized the temperature outside had dropped so much that I quickly placed my order and sought refuge inside of Wooden Robot. I ordered the Island Plate with Lola's Lumpia and went inside. The cashier was friendly, and they agreed to text me when the order was ready. Within less than 10 minutes, my order was up and plated perfectly. The lumpia was crisp and fresh with just enough of each ingredient in the filling. The sauce was delicious. Perfectly sweet with a bit of spice. The rice had a delightful gravy drizzled on top. I'm guessing from the chicken adobo, which really gave it some flavor. The pancit was smoky from the sausage and well portioned. Overall, a good plate, of which the lumpia was truly the star. I paired it with my favorite Wooden Robot brew, the Robotico, and it made the perfect meal.
