After contacting a few different pest control companies I found Capital City. I like that Travis, the owner called me and said he'd be doing the initial appointment, himself. I had read the information he wrote about his business and why he started it on Yelp and in dealing with him personally I found things to be as he described them. He was personable and took the time to explain about the type of insects in our area and what's involved in keeping them away. I believe Capital City's prices are fair. You don't have to pay for corporate overhead, so you catch a break that way but they aren't low-ball where you know thr pest control person can only spend 5 minutes with you because they have so see tons of people to make a living.

Now I have bait traps which I paid an extra $1k for, and the first year they didn't bother to return to check the traps, and for a while they double billed me for service. It took a year to get both issues cleared up because the ball got dropped when they changed office personnel. They were recently able to bill me and call me to set up a service appointment, so I was puzzled why I got several texts over the last few days from "Anna" wanting to verify my phone number. I assumed it was fraud and called their office. Turns out that "Anna" is their AI agent trying to sell me more service. It was a bit irritating that the office said they could not stop "Anna", and if I wanted to stop it, I had to text "STOP". Who knows what other companies use the phone numbers verified by "Anna" for marketing purposes. I added "Anna" to my spam and blocked list of numbers. I hope doing so also adds "Anna" to the list of numbers blocked for other cell users.

Nobody ever answers the phone, they show up whenever they want to, and bill the same price of $80/month even though they never get to treat the inside of my home since they always show up when I'm not there. Still waiting for a call back right now, I have called every local and corporate number I can find multiple times and still have not gotten a response.

I called at about 930am on the day of service to confirm the appointment, and the appointment was confirmed again at that time. I was told that I would get a call when the technician was on the way. Later that day after no call from Orkin and no pest control services, I called Orkin again and was told that my appointment was not communicated to the local office - with no apology. The next day (Wednesday) after no return call from a manager, I received a text stating that my service was now scheduled on Friday - in two days. So I called Orkin again to discuss the fact that nobody had returned my call and that the Friday appointment was scheduled without anyone talking to me. On this call I asked that a manager call me before the service technician arrived on Friday. But nobody from Orkin returned my call. The service technician who performed the service on Friday was very nice, and when I told him my story, he called the Orkin phone number. We talked to another Orkin rep who told me that if a manager didn't call me back today I should escalate my concerns. Nobody from Orkin called back, so I called Orkin again. After talking to someone, they told me I needed to talk to the branch manager. I waited on hold while that person attempted to connect me with the branch manager. After waiting for ten minutes, I was connected to voicemail. I was not going to give up, so I called Orkin again, and once again, I'm waiting on a call from a higher up. We will see if I get a call, Orkin is a pest! Don't let this pest invade your home if they even show up. - -
