I've gone to Dr. Silver for years but once I found out I was pregnant I decided to call around because I really thought we wouldn't be able to afford him. (Our insurance doesn't cover maternity). But his prices were actually more than fair. The experience you will receive from Dr. Silver and his office is priceless. No amount of money could buy the peace of mind he and his team provide. These are people who truly do what they love. I have accompanied many friends to their appointments during pregnancy and I can honestly say that Dr. Silver out shines the other options. So many of my friends have traumatic experiences with labor and delivery. But Dr. Silver makes the entire experience memorable and happy. Hands down Dr. Silver is the best in East Texas. And it's just an extra bonus that he's located in Nacogdoches. I can assure you that for labor and delivery you will want to be in Nacogdoches rather than Lufkin. I had a biopsy taken in Dr. Schaus' office, by Dr. Schaus. She injected marcaine, which is a…read morenumbing medicine that is long acting, but takes longer to numb the area. She proceeded to do the biopsy BEFORE the local had time to work. I told her it wasn't numb, but she proceeded to do the biopsy even though I was coming off the table with the extreme pain she was causing me. It was totally unnecessary. JUST - NO!! Do not…read morego here. Do not let him deliver your baby. He is a money hungry doctor that bullies and pushes women into having only c-sections. He will not allow a mom to even try natural birth. He uses bullying tactics and threats to get women to schedule inductions and mostly c-sections. He has poor bed side manner and compassion. Once you have your baby, he will refuse to listen to your wants and needs or release you to go back to work even with a full 8 week recovery. Some people can't afford to be out nor do they have job coverage for that long of leave, but he doesn't care. He will refuse to release you. This is not just my opinion but many others who regret using him. Stay away!
