I looked at my wife on the passenger side and she was bleeding from her mouth. I looked back and saw my daughter dazed and confused. It took us a while to realize we had been rear ended. An unlicensed, drunk driver had collided into us from the rear. It took a while for us to realize what had happened. When we came to our senses from such a devastating blow, we realized we were in severe pain from the injuries. Having seen several traffic collisions, I never knew the horror one went through or the repercussions the victim of a drunk driver experienced. It is a convoluted system and an insurance dominated event that one is left to navigate and fall victim to. The insurance company denied the drunk driver was their client and denied any coverage. I was left in the dark, disillusioned and disappointed at an insurance dominated system. I was afraid to get stuck with high medical treatment bills and out of pocket vehicle repair expenses. Ultimately having no compensation for a wrong committed against me by a drunk driver. Loraine at Westlake Injury Law took my case. She was able to get the insurance company to admit liability and immediately got me medical treatment, repaired my vehicle and ultimately got my family and I, a settlement. I would not wish this on anyone and thank god for Loraine and the kind and helpful staff at Westlake Injury Law that helped my family navigate through this dark time in our lives. But most importantly Do not come to my suite to show prospective tenants--so strangers, really--what X # of sq ft looks like. Why didn't you just show them the space you had vacant? Did you give my boss, your tenant, at least 24 hours notice that you'd be doing a walkthrough of his suite? That was super creepy and made me extremely uncomfortable. And wasn't it illegal?
