If you don't know about the Montessori philosophy, you should definitely do your research, watch videos, and come in for a tour. Though it's much more nuanced, I would summarize the philosophy as empowering your child to be self-sufficient. The care in which CLMS takes care of their students is amazing. When COVID forced quarantine, and even during the summer, the teachers and school leaders regularly dropped off educational materials and projects to our home. If not for our personal life events, as well as the distance from our home, we would probably still have our daughter enrolled here. And perhaps the only area of concern for us is the cost of tuition, which is higher than some other Montessori schools in the area... but I will say that the value for the cost is there. Though our daughter isn't enrolled right now, we would confidently say that we would enroll her here again in the future. Please visit CLMS and see how they can impact your child's growth and development!

The primary class (ages 3-6) is a great start to a lifelong love of learning. The children learn at their own pace, and choose to work on what they're interested in learning that particular day. Besides the wonderful classroom environment, the school provides field trip opportunities as well. Now the real star of the show is the Elementary classroom. The school has small classrooms so the children can experience so much more one-on-one time with their teacher (Mrs Bridget) and harbor a wonderful relationships that will last a lifetime. Each spring the class takes a trip to "Nature's Classroom" where the students stay in cabins, spend ALL DAY outside and get to choose their "breakout sessions" aka what they'd like to focus on that day. Every year, my child comes home and tells me he wishes he could go to Nature's Classroom all the time! Montessori Pathways is definitely molding wonderful young folks to be incredible adults. The staff, the classroom environment, the communication, and the community all make up our love for Pathways!

It was important for me to do the research all the schools and even talk to parents that had children in the school before I could make a good choice. There are a number of preschool options in this area, including public, Christian, and places like KinderCare. None of these options provided optimal class sizes, and through my investigation I came to see that the methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori were critical to the development young children. I was thrilled to find Children's House Montessori School where my children received specialized made-for-them scholastic development. While my children are both still very young, other parents with children that have gone through Children's House Montessori School explain that children leave with above average skills and the confidence to use them. My son is in the toddler community and he's learned to do so much for himself and with others! The directress is wonderful and the assistants are great; one of his first words was the teachers name! I'm also proud to say that he is 100% toilet trained and that wouldn't have been possible without the constant help (and changes!) from the guide and assistants. My daughter started out as one of the youngest in her class and she was slow to warm up but with the help of the directress, the assistant, and the environment, she emerged as one of the leaders in her room. I'm so proud of everything she has learned but mostly of how she has developed as a child-she's kind, helpful, eager to learn. She's been learning about word building and everyday she comes home having mastered something new like a song or something she's been working on like sound boxes. I love hearing about the new lessons she receives and her directress is not only knowledgeable but kind and encouraging. The school community is probably one of the most special communities I've ever been a part of. There are often parent events that focus on teaching parents about aspects of the Montessori method, theory, and environment and I always leave these events feeling uplifted and encouraged about the education my children are receiving. All in all, this has been a wonderful school and a beautiful experience for us all!

Even if it is not what's going on inside the classroom. I was forced to keep sick infants (101.7) fever because she feared the parents would leave after already being closed due to covid prior and parents complained. It was over bearing to the point I left, along with other staff in the room. I got yelled at for sending children home "not sick" to standards of theirs yet.... the child's pcr test came back positive! But because the child never had a fever, they no longer trusted my judgement on who is sick and who is not... reguardless of the fact the child was IN FACT positive. As soon as I gave my 2 week notice, being told i need to give them more than 2 weeks i can not leave in 2 weeks..... later that day I was "fired" and reported to DCFS of child abuse of which, was over ruled and now DCFS is looking into their quality care. This school is all about the highest standards and fitting in and staff drama constantly... their assistants are constantly quiting. Infant room staff has been so unstable that they've gone through 3 teachers just this school year. If you care about your child's well being please, steer clear!

They respond promptly to text and email, and post pictures weekly on the closed FB group. I know that as soon as my son steps into the classroom, he will be treated with dignity and kindness. He loves all his teachers and gets so excited to see them - he even wanted to invite them to his birthday party! La Casa does a great job of following the Montessori methods, and I have been impressed by what my son has been learning (and is excited to learn!) - at 3, he is teaching Spanish to US! He has become quite and eager helper at home, too. La Casa is excellent at working with parents on potty training, and is much more flexible than most schools at working with the parents of kids with special needs to make sure they are learning to their full potential. Probably what I love the most is how active the kids are every day. They go for walks and to the park nearly every day, usually twice a day. When the weather isn't cooperating, they play "pelotas" and games inside, and they have Zumba at least once (if not two or three times!) per week, which my son LOVES. They also have options for yoga and additional directed art on top of the regular classroom art (and this all starts at age 2!). The only reason I would not give La Casa 5 stars yet is there is still room to improve in terms of administration. They would benefit from FT rather than PT administrative staff, as the organization can be a bit lacking at times. As a parent, you need to be a bit persistent to get all the information you need at the beginning - but at least the staff is very responsive. My son and our family have made some wonderful friends through this school, and we would recommend it to other families looking for a flexible, full-day, reasonably-priced, Spanish immersion school starting at age 15 months.

When that time came I begun searching for the right Montessori school. I was willing to travel more if I have to, just wanted to find a good one. I'm writing this review with tears in my eyes, I can't believe my little baby grew up and time past so fast-he graduated kindergarten and now he is continuing his educational journey. We are missing The Grove Montessori so much!! The school is amazing, the teachers are awesome, every single thing in the school environment is touching you in a peaceful and a calm way. My son enjoyed every single day spend there. When I had to chose his elementary school I walked around many public and private schools, and there is nothing to compare to The Grove Montessori environment. I feel so fortunate, that I found The Grove Montessori, my son received a wonderful training. The owners of the school carefully choose their stuff and everyone is very knowledgeable, dedicated, passionate, giving the best possible care for the little ones. The kids get prepared really well. My son became very social and independent, he is completely ready for first grade, he can read, he knows so many things and when he got tested at his new school they told me that his math level is for second grader. For which I'm giving all the credit to the great program at The Grove Montessori and especially to the great teachers, who were preparing him with love and patience every single day. I really appreciate their hard work and admire their dedication. If you are on a search for quality educational daycare this is the right one!!!
