The best Airbnb in the Four Corners area. Located in downtown Aztec, New Mexico,…read moreThe Leanor has two identities: Downstairs is an event center that can be rented for small to medium-sized groups. (The weekend I stayed there, it played host to a baby shower.) Upstairs, the Airbnb "apartment" covers the entire footprint of the building. The apartment is accessible by stairs on the back side of the building. We did not cross paths with the baby shower attendees, nor did they have access to the Airbnb space. My nephews and their spouses, who were staying with me, arrived at The Leanor before I did; they had no issues entering the property without me. Even on this hot summer day, the apartment was comfortably cooled. Each room had its own A/C unit. The master bedroom had its own bathroom, and there were two hallway bathrooms. Each of the three couples had their own beautifully remodeled bathroom, with natural lighting from glass blocks in the walls and floor-to-ceiling glass door showers. One of the rooms had an adjoining suite with queen-sized bunk beds and whimsical animal artwork and hangers for guests who have younger children. Just a block away, you can find a bank, drug store, record shop, dispensary, gas station, and Safeway grocery store. Rubia's gourmet Mexican restaurant and the 505 Tap House are both just across the street. The Leanor was built in 1906 and was originally the post office for Aztec; it is on the state and national registries of historic places. Robin, the host and owner, has done an incredible job renovating The Leanor to modern standards while never losing the charming Old West atmosphere of a nearly 120-year-old building. The space is quiet and comfortable, definitely a "home away from home" that I can't wait to stay in again.

PERFECT FOR OVERNIGHT. CLEAN & FRIENDLY…read more Owned by Marvin and Anita Farley. $35 for 2 adults/night. $3 extra people. Back in Full hookup. Small fenced in gravel establishment but clean and very well-maintained. WiFi Laundry and Showers. Seems like one permanent resident (besides the owners who own the house attached to the office on property). On main road but surprisingly quiet. Beautiful garden and patio Stayed here overnight on my family cross country road trip. I called in the morning and the gentleman who owns the establishment was very friendly and helpful on the phone. He immediately text me the address, WiFi passwords and codes for the LAUNDRY SHOWERS & RESTROOMS (amenities that weren't listed on the app I used to find them, but they have them!!) They didn't charge us the extra $3 for our one year old which was kind of them and he even told us not to bother unhooking since it was just overnight and he had no one else coming in that evening. I was able to do some laundry for $3 a load (wash and dry) which was nice. Hour from 4 corners Beautiful place and perfect for our overnight stay. Thank you Marvin and Anita!!

We were very tired from the long drive and it was a perfect overnight stop. Daily rate was well below the average. We were able to back in a 23' trailer and truck (without unhooking).
