I experienced a rear ended car accident and was depleted from the many things you have to do to get everything taken care of. I decided to look into a law firm that not only be able to assist me through the process of my vehicle, but also look out for the best interest for me. Once I was connected with Fima to start the process, I was not only filled with relief but also felt that someone was on my side. Fima always checked in with me, asked how I was doing, and ensured that every decision that was made was in the best interest of me. The level of empathy and understanding is hard to come by when you are dealing with a tough situation and I can't thank Fima enough for helping me through this situation. I would definitely come back to McGee Lerer Law Firm for any assistance. read more

We had an accident a few years back that resulted in pain, injuries and suffering for my family and I. We reached out to McGee and Lerer and was contacted quickly by case manager Anna. The case ended up taking a very long time to settle and nothing ever moved fast... but when I would reach out to check in about the case, Anna was always very kind, courteous and accommodating. I spoke to attorney once and he was very mellow and did his best at explaining things to me. read more

I called around to see if I could find a lawyer to help me with a hit and run that occurred with my parked vehicle. No one would respond, since the claim was small and my insurance took care of the majority of it. Unfortunately, my insurance is not the best and has dodged my phone calls regarding the responsible party paying for my damages. FIMA AFSHAR, responded to my call. Even though my claim is small she took time out of her busy day to tell me everything I needed to do to file a "small claims SC-100," form. I'm filled with gratitude for her time. She even went as far to type me an e-mail with instructions. If I ever need help in the future I'm contacting this firm. Customer service is excellent! This firm truly cares about people and FIMA, is very sweet and kind. I will update the post once I file claims and I'm reimbursed in small claims court. Thank you! read more

I was in a tough spot and felt worried and stressed about a situation and honestly, I was scared about what was going to happen. But reaching out to Fima was the best decision! The minute we started talking, it was like a huge weight just lifted off my shoulders. Fima is amazing. She didn't just tell me what to do, she walked me through writing the crucial email, explaining why we were doing every single step. It made me feel so much more in control. She assured me she would still be around to help no matter how things turned out, which was such a relief. If you're feeling overwhelmed, Fima is the person to go to. Super professional, but also genuinely caring. I can't recommend her enough--five stars! read more

I was involved in a side swipe hit and run on the 210 freeway my car spun around. so from by the car pool lane I spun around to the shoulder. I was dazed and confused. I couldn't open my door .. my vehicle had to be towed. There was over $20 grand in damages. I used my uninsured motorist coverage. A friend referred me to McGee,Lerer and Associates. My case was assigned to Fima. She was great!!! Always kept me in the loop. My insurance wawanesa was what I feel upset that I chose to use my UIM coverage. It's been a few months since my case settled but looking back, I have misgivings about my experience with McGee, Lerer & Associates. My advice to anyone reading is to max out your full coverage for your insurance. Also - don't sign the retainer until you've really shopped around. You can sit on it for a few days to compare others. If I had lost a limb they would have fought harder for me but instead I gave paid them an arm and a leg for bad representation. Also - ask for a lawyer to handle your case. Not a case worker. 2 days before Christmas I was hit head on by a drunk driver. I was banged up, contused rib, burns on my arms from the airbags. My car, which was paid off, was deemed a total loss after the accident. The front end was taken clear off. Upon my initial consultation with McGee, Lerer, I was very adamant about what kind of pain/suffering I was seeking. A new car + car payment, loss of work, inconvenience, loss of use, extreme pain (I went to the hospital twice in three days) I haven't had any sort of accidents in over 15 years. I had okay insurance for myself. But with my bruised ribs I was sent to a chiropractor so I could... lay on my bruised ribs and have my back adjusted? My ribs took 10 weeks to feel back to normal. This is a normal process when you're in an accident but I was very vocal about the pain I was in. I was being milked for the max payout from my own insurance even though I couldn't benefit from the chiropractor. Today - 9 months after the accident, I have agonizing back pain. This is something I mentioned when I first spoke with McGee. "If I settle within two months after my accident, and have issues in a year what can I do?" I said I wanted medical to be considered and apparently it was beyond Fima's scope. They treated me like I was sub par for the type of insurance I had. I wasn't worth their fight since I didn't have max pay out. I'm paying for it now and wish I would have gone with another Law Firm. I was given a case worker to manage my lawsuit who, on more than one occasion, audibly had her hands full with children during our phone calls. I had to remind her several times about items we discussed that were important to me. She'd forgotten to ask the insurance company for my loss of use pay out. I've had time to think on it and I'm more dissatisfied than I was when they initially settled. I was very vocal with them about my dissatisfaction when the time came to settle. I decided not to write a review then. But I want to protect others from going through what I did with McGee- after I was in a horrible accident. read more

DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM. First of all, they incentivize reviews so these people who have written reviews were most likely compensated. Second, I had a rotating cast of "associates for an accident." Every month I had a new manager who I would have to re-tell the whole story to about my case. It seemed like people were leaving a lot. Third, they sent me to a sketchy chiro in DTLA that I could tell was only after money. Finally, they provided poor guidance about my case. It was clear they didn't care about my well-being and only cared about money. Go somewhere with associates who will care and support you in the legal process. read more

You can trust the McGee Lerer & Associates Team! I reached out to McGee Lerer & Associates in 2019 after I had experienced two collisions within six months of each other. My cases had the potential of becoming complicated due to the defense teams looking to place blame on the other party for injuries sustained. The ML Team had a plan that no other law office considered. They tied the cases together so that all parties were present for depositions and mediation. The injuries sustained in each accident were articulated clearly. They handled my cases with a smart strategy and were always professional. Beginning the process of entering a lawsuit to the point of settlement can be very stressful. Due to Covid and other factors my cases took four years to resolve. The patience of the ML Team was unwavering. There was always someone there to inform and assure me that we were on the right path. A special thank you to Dan McGee, Catherine Lerer, Rob Kent, Roy Huntsman, Maria Hernandez and Quinton Alston. The list of amazing team members goes on. This is an example of the depth of the ML Team there to support you. I would not hesitate to recommend McGee Lerer & Associates to anyone in need of legal advice and representation. I just wanna start off by saying Fima, Catherine and all the associates at McGee Lerer are absolutely outstanding. This was my first time in any auto collision incident and I was very scared and confused as to what to do next. I called around and looked for places with the best reviews, and people who seem to be the most personal. After asking them a lot of questions and comparing them to other firms I chose them because they made me feel the most safe comfortable, and we're completely transparent about all necessary steps, fees, and the fact that they would not charge you unless you successfully had or won a case. My accident was in March and it was resolved in a matter of months, the person who hit me was uninsured so they were able to help me file an uninsured motorist claim as well as a personal injury claim through my insurance. I would strongly recommend any and all of my friends and family here. read more

It would be impossible for me to fully articulate inside of this yelp review how incredibly grateful I am for Katherine, Dan, and their firm McGee, Lerer, & Associates. They've helped so much!!..literally more in the past 2 days since my first call to their office, than my previous firm has helped in the last 22 months. And here's the kicker for how amazing they really are...I'm not even their client nor are they able to take my case. Still yet, they spent hours on the phone with me these past 2 days to do everything they possibly could to help me understand my case, understand my options, and help however they can. Inside of these last 48 hours since calling their office...I've come to feel so much calmer and safe with my case because Kathy and Dan care so much, listened so attentively, and gave me their absolute thorough and expert guidance. I don't say this lightly, it feels like I'm working with family the way they've taken care of me. Kathy, Dan, and Andrea are clearly in the law business primarily because of their passion for protecting, caring, and helping people. Because they're unable to take my case, Kathy gave me a few firms and lawyers that she felt would maybe be a good fit for me and my situation and indeed one was. She wound up connecting me to a lawyer and firm who's as genuine, forthright, and thorough as she and her firm and very much also an experienced expert. We all hear rather challenging stories when it comes to lawyers and working with them, but I can assure you thing...working with McGee, Lerer, and Associates at any capacity has been a comforting prayer answered and they are incredible in every regard. If you have a potential case, a current case, or just have questions in general and need help...look no further...you can rest assure you are in good, caring, and helping hands with McGee, Lerer, and Associates. Katherine, Dan, and Andrea!!..THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!! If I ever have any new law needs, I'm so happy, elated, and grateful to know you're only a phone call away. Thanks again! And ps...you can even see it in their photos...those smiley, genuine, caring faces are exactly the truth at McGee, Lerer, and Associates. read more

I reached out to McGee, Lerer & Associates on December 1st after I had been involved in a hit and run (auto vs. Ped) This happened on a Friday and by Monday they were able to get me in to see a chiropractor and start on treatment right away. This being my first lawsuit they explained to me everything that had to be done and answered every question I had. They are very dedicated and everything was explained and kept me updated. They refused to take my case as there wasn't enough damage done to the car. It doesn't matter that I am actually badly injured. They are only looking for major catastrophic accidents where they can maximize their profits. What jerks. This is the second firm to do this to me today. Scott Corwin's office did the same thing. McGee Lerer & Associates was an absolute great pleasure to work with. I was T-boned in a hit an run accident in 2016. After the accident my insurance company offered me the bare minimun for my injuries and the physical therapy I would need to heal. This is when I knew I needed someone to guide me, so I went looking for help. I found Catherine through google and read about her experience in representing people who had been inolved in accidents. After reading the great reviews I decided to give her a call, we met at her Long Beach office. I told her what happened and she gave me the answers I was looking for. That day I knew she was the right person to handle my case. As I went to physical therapy and finding a new car among other things, Catherine and her assistant Kelly took care of everything legal, so I could focus on my job, college and getting better. When Catherine found that I had a small amount of coverages she advised me to up my insurance in case of any other accidents. I did and boy am I happy I listened because only 3 and a half months later I was in another accident where I was not driving and was rushed to the hospital were I called her to inform her I was in another accident and would be in the hospital for over a week. If Catherine had not advised me to up my insurance I would've been in a deep hole financially because the person that was driving had the least amount of insurance. Because Catherine I had up'd my insurance. My underinsured motorist insurance is why I was fully compensated for my injuries in both accidents. McGee Lerer are not just a law group but have become extended family, They took great care of me and I will forever be grateful to Catherine, Kelly and the rest of the team. read more

They have been a blessing in this horrible nightmare i have experienced. From being in a accident that wasn't my fault and my car being totaled, being lied to by the police, the guy having no insurance, to the run around by Uber, McLerer and associates have been the only people on my side. They got me a rental so i could finish what i could of my semester being that my car was a complete loss, and have been extremely helpful along the way, with updates and even an advance in hard times. They even were willing to meet me at the train to give me one of my checks due to not having a vehicle anymore. They really put the client first and without them i honestly don't know how i would have dealt with the situation. If you are looking for a company to treat u like family and look out for ur best interests, i definitely say go with them, you can't go wrong! I know i email the jr. associate I'm personally in contact with all the time, and i feel like i worry her with all my questions, but i will say Rachel is always so patient with me and very helpful as well. They also have connections with wonderful people, such as the chiropry want to help! I had been in an accident and started the claims process with an adjuster on my own. After feeling like it wasn't a good idea to tackle this process alone, I was referred to Catherine and her team by a local chiropractor. Even though I had already started the claims process without them, it was not a problem for them and they were able to pick up from where I left off. They were very responsive, answered all my questions, and took care of EVERYTHING. It took over a year and a half to resolve everything, but every time there was an update, I got a call or an email. All of my options were explained to me carefully so that I could make educated decisions. Although being in an accident is not a good experience for anyone, having Catherine and her team take care of the whole process behind the scenes, while genuinely caring about your well-being was a relief and I am so glad to have worked with them.
