My garage door tension spring snapped this morning, and I called them to have someone come out…read morewhich they did in a timely manner. But once the technician was there, I expressed that I didn't know much about garage doors and I wasn't trying to come off as a jerk, but I wanted to know why the ballpark range for my quote was $195-$495 for the springs and $375 just for labor. He stated it's based off the door size, I said while you're here just measure the door and can you give me a better ballpark estimate on the quote on what it would cost to have repaired he said well it's based off the spring. I'm gonna take the spring off and look and give you a better quote. I said oh perfect thank you he took off the spring and did some things and then told me that it would be $459 per spring and that I should change out the drums on both sides which were $225 apiece and with the labor again $375 parts everything out the door would be about $1700. I said OK I will have to talk to my wife about it and see what we wanna do nothing's gonna get done tonight. Are you available to come out tomorrow if you decide to use your company? He goes who I thought I was doing it tonight. I replied with that's not what I said. I said I would like a ballpark quote so I can weigh out my options which he replied with why I brought everything in. I did all the stuff under the impression I'm doing it tonight. I said no I need to talk to my wife and we had our options and if anything is going to be done, it's gonna be tomorrow. Which he tried to pressure me into making a decision tonight telling me well can you call your wife right now and said no she works healthcare and at the hospital with poor reception he was well I'm gonna leave my stuff here. I have a job down the road. Try to get a hold of your wife. I'll be back at 6 o'clock. I said OK then came inside my house to tell me that you know he thought the job was says and he was doing everything tonight in this net. I said no I'm sorry for the misconception but I didn't agree to anything being done tonight. I wanted to know how much was gonna cost me before I made a decision again try to pressure me and I said OK. Well, if my wife gets a hold of me and I am able to talk to her, I will tell you at 6 o'clock. He left and left all his stuff in my garage so I decided to look up the parts by using the VIN number the part number size everything available with the parts he recommended for me so the $450 tension springs that he wanted to charge me a piece for I found using the VIN number on the part for $175 for a pair, the drums that he wanted to replace for $250 apiece I found at Home Depot using the VIN number for 17.95 apiece. I understand it's a business and they need to make money and pay their employees so their employees can have food and a roof over their head, but I do not appreciate being taking advantage of and charged well over five times the price and then when I confronted him when he got back and told him that he could take his stuff and leave, but I do not appreciate being lied to and taken an advantage of he wanted to tell me that it wasn't him. It's the business and that's how they do things and they have to charge for labor this and then I said well you're already charging me $375 for labor that doesn't explain why you're charging 100 times the price for parts and then I showed him what I found using the VIN numbers off the parts and he tried to tell me that the Vin number on his drum was not the exact same drum ( mind you he wanted $250 per drum was not the same drum I found at homedepot using the same vin number for $17.95) I then said you were going to look me dead in the face and tell me that these are not the same thing while holding up his part with my phone with the Home Depot photo and description and price of the same exact part. Again, nothing against the technician he was only doing his job, but this company is taking advantage of people charging way more than they should and not being completely honest, just to follow up with that after confronting him with all my facts and what I found and asking why they were charging so much he again said it's not me. It's the company and I do have other parts that are cheaper. I said you never once told me that I had options you brought in the parts and told me this is what I need and what I should do and gave me the price for those never once telling me that there was cheaper options. I highly recommend not even wasting your time with this company unless you do not care about getting ripped off and wasting way more money than you need to I already called another company and they are charging me $500 for the exact same thing. This company wanted to charge me $1700 for please do your research fact, check before agreeing to hire this company.

I tried unsuccessfully to reach him several times in December. He responded December 30, 2023 to say he'd been sick and injured his shoulder and was backed up, and he hoped to get to my fence around mid-January. That was the last I heard from him. I have emailed, texted, called. He won't respond. I am now in the process of sending him a certified letter and beginning legal proceedings if he doesn't make this right. (Note: I have no idea why Yelp is saying that I am in CA. I am in Cape Coral, FL)

This has been a terrible experience. I met Mike July of 2022 and he gave me a quote to fence our…read moreproperty. The quote was reasonable so we agreed to have Mike perform the work and he said that he required 50% down ($3,600 he did proved me with a receipt for the down payment) to purchase materials etc. and I thought that was reasonable. I gave him the money and he never came back. Communication with him was nearly impossible, he wouldn't answer his phone or return text, he would occasionally return emails. He has excuse after excuse for everything. He did pay me back $1,000, that was it. I have offered to allow him to make payments for the rest and he won't respond. I even found his address and went to his home to ask him for my money and again a bunch of excuses. I live out of state so having to show up for small claims court would just add to the cost of this whole ordeal. I went with Mike because his quote was $600 cheaper than another contractor I had received an estimate from. That turned out to be a costly mistake. I don't know what else I could have done to protect myself in this situation? We had a signed contract that he would perform the work and I would pay him the rest on completion of the job. I trusted him and I guess I shouldn't have? I don't think that he views this for what it really is, which is stealing, which makes Mike a thief and if he stole from me he just might steal from you. I don't want this to happen to anyone else and that's the reason I'm posting this review. If Mike ever returns the money he stole from me I would gladly update this review. Until then beware...

Today I…read morehad a teensy tiny issue with the latch on the gate and of course Eagle Fence is coming out to take care of right away... but the real review is not only their killer top-notch customer service, my fence is beautiful! I was really hesitant to get a fence because I didn't want to take away from the landscaping that we're working towards accomplishing, but we have three dogs, so it was necessary! So, a fence was the only way to go. Joel, Chase and Nikki are all amazing individuals and were so helpful throughout the process! Plus, when I signed our contract with them there was a bit of a delay from a permitting standpoint and somehow they were able to work some magic and got my fence installed a couple weeks prior to when I originally thought it was going to be installed! Score!! They knew I had three dogs and they knew the situation I was in so they really did me a solid favor and hustled so my dogs would not be the death of me! The fence is gorgeous (I will post pictures) and we've gotten so many compliments!! The customer service is amazing. Also, to be honest the price was incredible! I was expecting my fence to be much, much more. Like they saved me some serious dolla, dolla, dolla bills yo! So thank you very much Eagle Fence! You guys are the bomb and I will recommend you to everyone I know! My fence is not only a life saver it's sooo pretty! You. Complete. Me.

The vinyl is already cracking at the hinges, screws are pulling out, and the gate is misaligned and under pressure when closing. This is not normal for a new installation. When we contacted the company, the issue was blamed on "wind," and they mentioned an aluminum frame would have been needed -- something that was never recommended or discussed during installation. We asked for an inspection, but instead of evaluating the issue in person, our concerns were dismissed. Very disappointed with the quality of the work and the lack of accountability. I would not recommend.
