Strawn Insurance

Never had an issue when It was strawn insurance company, but that's not the case now. This is just…read morethe final straw in what has been coming for a while. Every new contract just keeps increasing in price with the vague explanation of "it's like that everywhere , but especially in Georgia." Why? The insurance underwriter they have me contracted with is Southern Trust Poly. I got married and called in to change my last name. I spoke to Jasmine and provided her with all my information via conversation as well as email. Before anything was even completed on their side or signed by me, I got a notice in the mail that my insurance premiums were going up $20 per month mid contract. Yet another price increase , for what ? Nothing that I had actually called to change was reflected on the documentation that I received though . My name was still my maiden name and they still had the old billing information listed (but with a new monthly total ). When I asked why the monthly premium increased in the middle of my policy term , she stated she didn't know and that she would have to contact the underwriter to figure it out. She then said it probably increased because of a ticket from 2017 and a no fault accident (see below) even though they only go back 3-5 years. Neither of those should have had that much of an affect, 2017 was 8 years ago, and I am still in the middle of a contracted policy. She still had the payment method incorrect, and said I never provided her with the bank account information (even though I did and even provided the last four of the account number in the email at her request to verify the account number she was given over the phone.) She miraculously found all the banking information in her notes several minutes later. Also, she told me she was going to need my husband's information to add him to the policy. She never specified which information ! I questioned her about adding him though since he doesn't drive my vehicle, and she said that she would find out some more information and call me back. That was at the beginning of last week, and I never received a call back. I just got a notice in the mail today (12/21) that my insurance is being canceled out effective January 19th, due to "failure to disclose information" for underwriting. It's kind of hard to disclose information if no one is calling to get it. The lack of communication and organization on their end is abhorrent. I never had an issue when it was strawn and I had Mrs. Mitchell on my account. Called again today 12/22 and was transferred to a voicemail box for John. Just as a side note to the above mentioned hit and run : I was involved in a hit and run several months ago and it was all recorded on dash cam . No one (including the officer) could make out the tag or locate the vehicle on the flock cams, and Southern Trust had no one to prosecute. The entire time they were doing their "investigation" they called me relentlessly and acted as if I was lying. All the information was provided , including the dash cam video showing that I was not the at fault party and they were sent a police report stating the exact same thing. There was also a special unit within the police department that was assigned to my accident to try and locate the vehicle or driver, but I don't think Southern Trust even reached out to them. They initially tried to charge me the collision deductible until I insisted that it should have been filed under a "no fault" deductible. They still wanted me to pay the collision deductible in full and said they would reimburse me at a later date for the difference. After going back and forth , they finally allowed the lesser deductible as sufficient payment. Their (southern trust poly) customer service is awful and combined with the lack of follow up from oakbridge I would steer clear

Avoid! Completed online platform to see home insurance rates & price looked great so I spoke…read morew/Chris. My current carrier was insuring my home for $150/sq.ft which was excessive for type of house. He informs me that the co. that quoted lowest on their platform wouldn't insure homes w/o auto policy, so he sends the "4th lowest quote" cause he didn't like the other companies, it was for $156 sq.ft! Clearly he wasn't listening so I moved to another broker who *magically* completed my home policy w/same co. Chris claimed required auto - HUH? I did followup survey they sent & explained I felt like they were making commissions top priority. Chris calls & leaves me a lengthy VM saying I need to send him my policy breakdown so he can explain what I'm not understanding - b/c he automatically assumes I have a reading comprehension problem & not that he has a listening to a client problem. I've priced out company insurance policies for a decade, my eyes work just fine, but thanks - I always love a good mansplain.
