I just ate a fish sandwich dinner "meal" and it was all fresh this time and everything was correct! The fries were hot & fresh. My fish sandwich was hot & fresh and my Dr. Pepper tasted great and seemed fresh as well! The staff was pretty friendly today also! I can't say that everyday, but i totally understand how it can be working at a fast food restaurant! I couldn't do it! lol. So i respect the ones that can do it! They have to deal with alotta peoples rude attitudes which isn't easy i'm sure! But today's experience was just fine! However the wait was another story! lol. I was not in any hurry today though, so it didn't matter a whole bunch with me. But if i were in a hurry, i'd probably not be too happy. All in all today's experience wasn't too bad at all! I went thru the drive-thru which is what i do a lot bcuz i never want to get out of my vehicle. They don't normally ever get my order right, but i sure can't complain today! read more

The service takes a while and my ten piece chicken nuggets were nearly raw, the breading was pale almost see through it was falling apart it was like eating mush and the burger I ordered was supposed to have only ketchup and cheese nothing else and when my daughter bit into the sandwich it was full of onions which she is allergic to would not recommend 1 star. read more

I came in for coffee on a long road trip. The variable in the strength, sweetness, creaminess, and consistency is all over from location to location. Sometimes there's nothing, sometimes overboard I appreciate the lady that took the time to explain to me how to order, what to call it, and nailed it. Staff was rude especially Carol. She does not know how to treat or act around customers. Overall the food is good and so is the environment.

We stopped for breakfast but it was 11:00 AM so we ordered a Filet-o-fish meal, a double cheesburger and and extra filet-o-fish. It's unbelievable to say this but at 11:00 AM the fries were cold and as if they had been re-fried and chewy. The buns were stale and the fish sandwiches were cold. The cheeseburger was the same, cold and stale bun. What has happened to the consistency at McDonalds? The Diet Coke was good. This meal for two and drink for one cost $16.02. When we paid there were racks and racks of buns, so were our buns last nights overage? If you want fast food try Burger King, their burgers are better. read more

The food was excellent and the drive-thru service was quick and the employees were friendly. Very rarely does this McDonald's location disappoint me. Nobody bats a thousand but this McDonald's comes very close. read more

I stepped one foot in the McDonald's before I was stared down by an employee and told that I had to leave because I "wasn't wearing a top that covered my belly button." For reference, I was wearing a cropped tank top from Urban Outfitters that fully covered my chest. I have never in my life been denied service over a tank top, let alone at MCDONALDS. I have worn this top out to eat at a sit down restaurant before too, and yet I was denied service at a fast food place where I intended to just get an iced tea to-go. As far as I have read online there is absolutely no dress code for what is "proper attire" to have, ahem, fine dining, at McDonald's. I didn't get any names because I was too shocked to do anything and I had to get back on the road, but the lady who dress coded me had a short blond bob and seemed to be in her 20s. I have never been inclined to write a Yelp review before but I am just in shock that this occurred. read more

Perfect. I highly recommend going to Vandalia McDonalds. Greenville McDonalds will screw up your order any time of day even if you've got one thing. These people are actually experienced cooks unlike the literal kids at Greenville who don't know what they're doing. Vandalia doesn't give you an overcooked burger. Pay attention to detail. Something fast food USED to pride itself on such concerns. THREE (yes, 3) times I ordered a Mcrib sandwich light sauce .... apparently the geniuses there feel that ALSO means no other topping as they failed to put onions and pickles on the sandwich every time it was corrected. The manager failed ultimately in my book on this by not double checking his crew of miscreants to insure (especially after the THIRD TIME) it was appropriately made. Stay away from Vandalia, IL McDonald's Location until they learn how to make an order according to the customer. Good Luck with that! read more

Second time this week they have messed up! First it was charging my debit card twice for one order and then I gave them the benefit of them being right but the next morning I was still charged twice! Tracy did a refund but was not very friendly about it! Tonight they got my order wrong and charged me for two of the same meals! I understand everyone is short staffed but training properly is a must!! train better because customers and employees deserve better McDonald's!!! read more

Well i usually have good drive threw service but today me and someone behind me or in front of me got the wrong food. Not happy. i don't like egg white and ham especially not egg whites. I called and the girl was very nice and apologetic. She took my name address and phone number and put my name in a book and said the next time i came through the drive up to tell them and i would get a free value meal. That was very nice-- lesson- if they get it wrong --let them know- it helps them learn and try harder-- it also could get you a free meal. read more

Poor customer service. Never get your order correct then when a customer tries to correct the mess up the workers will sigh loudly as though you are being a pain. The managers are no help. They set a bad example for the rest of the crew and fuel the poor customer service mentality at this McDonald's. read more

I go to McDonald's all the time. (It's addicting!) so the 4 star rating is mainly based on the fact that it's McDonald's. I regularly get the double cheeseburger meal or sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin and iced coffee. It's generally very good. The issue with this place is that they don't get your coffee order correct. I complained and got 2 free meals about it once, but they continually do it. I ask for light cream and sugar. Sometimes they put it in the computer wrong (so the order is wrong) and sometimes the order on the computer is right but the person making it ignores it. And just today I think mine was hazelnut when I never ask for flavoring. Anyways I wish that was different but I get their coffee a lot anyways. I am a big fan of McDonald's despite their (unfair) reputation. read more
