Having heard good things about this French steakhouse chain, I took a friend there for her birthday…read moreluncheon. We were a party of six, and the waiter was patient enough to wait and come back several times to take our order. I took New Orleans burger, which came with a choice of two sauces on the side (green pepper and shallots), and the other red meat orders consisted of bavette, which is skirt steak back in the US. Loved the fact that my burger could be ordered medium rare, and it was actually served medium rare (saignant)... Compared to US Standards, serving size was much smaller, but the taste of the meat was incredibly delicious... A little on the pricey size, but hey, I know how much meat costs at the local butchers, and Americans just need to understand that cheap eats in Parisian suburbs are a rare find!
Talked to a local at the table next to me, who seemed unhappy with his lunch. He claimed that the menu recently changed, and that it no longer was what he expected. When I asked him why, he went on explaining that the portions were much smaller, meals cost more, and that his favorite, the crême brûlée, was no longer good...
