Not a critical issue if you study this review so you'll know what to do. You're given a plastic card upon entering and they use this to ring you up. But I can't figure out why. Don't know about the Asian food ( lots of sushi choices) but the western food is all good and the filet mignon in sauce is fantastic! We had to wait for it, though, as they had run out. Worth the wait. But you're not supposed to munch while you're waiting, because you're charged by the weight of the food. It's easiest to get a separate plate ( before weigh-in) for dessert items, then get weighed all at once. Unless you eat a ton, the price is very reasonable: For my wife, myself and my teenage son, with 3 drinks, our dinner came to R$ 101, or about $11 U.S. each! You pay at the cashier upon exiting by presenting your weight and drink receipts. They take Visa. Sodas: Pepsi and a Lemon-Lime drink. You can just say "Soda, no Pepsi" and nod left to right if you want the lemon- lime soda, and they'll get it. Also bottled water, regular or fizzy. As the girl poured the drinks over ice at our table, I probably should have left a small tip. Indoor seating, which is rare in this neighborhood. We'll be back this week during our Olympic stay!

Ribs, among other things, were ordered and what arrives at your table is not like anything ever served in the states. A massive pile of individual ribs thrown on a plate...not a rack. It has zero flavor and the quality of meat is hideous! Steak is typical dry flavorless Brazilian meat. Fried chicken was pretty good as were the pasteis and stuff but its impossible to screw that up. Cafofo pub has it all. A nice and cosy interior and nice rock music. Besides that the food is great, not just something to chew on while your drinking, but high quality and tasty food. I can only comment on the burgers, the fries and the onion rings, which were excellent, but I'm confident when I order something different the next time it'll be just as nice.

This place has a reputation of being the best burger in Brazil because of some associated chef's legacy and three different meats put into their signature patty. It didn't feel that gourmet to me, just a typical pub burger. I made my own burger medium with the signature patty, lettuce, tomato, Brazilian cheese, and pickles on a sweet potato bun. As well as fries. The burger came to me wrapped up in a bag with my fries; I was perplexed to find the bun already soggy, as I ate it in the restaurant a minute after they made it. The toppings were fine, nothing special except the cheese, but the burger was definitely rare and very over-seasoned. I'm not sure if this is a Brazilian thing, the under-doneness, but eating raw meat in a country you aren't from isn't the best idea. However, the fries were done properly-hard to mess those up. The tables had a couple of sauces; a ketchup that tasted like bbq sauce and a sweet chili sauce. Very random. Would I come here again? Most likely not. The price of the burger is a bit high and it just wasn't that memorable.
