I rather go to a burger place that just do burgers good than have lots of items and do them mediocre. I ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with a fried egg. Unfortunately the egg didn't came sunny side up and they didn't ask me when I added it to my burger. Nonetheless the burger was pretty good and also presented nicely. I am bored of burgers on simple white plates. The veggies tasted fresh and the bun was very soft, fluffy and light. The patty was well done but nowhere near dry. While pretty ordinary in taste I think it was fine. SERVICE You order at the counter but the food will be brought to your table. Drinks can be taken from the fridge and when you pay you simply tell them what you got. The staff was friendly and nice. ATMOSPHERE This place looks like one of those places that were designed by students. Simple yet modern. During my visit I have seen a bunch of teens chilling out here. RATING Lately you are able to find an abundance of burger places to go to around Germany. With so many options it is very hard to satisfy the increased amount of expectations. You need to give customers a reason why they should pick your place instead of the burger place around the corner. Even in such a small town like Recklinghausen, there are a few burger options to pick from and this one, I can recommend with no doubt. The only reason I gave a four star rating is that while everything is good, nothing is outstanding. But if you just want to enjoy a good fresh burger, consider this one.

I enjoyed the extra-scharf currywurst (with jalapeños) ... which may have been the spicest thing I'd found in Germany this entire trip. And it was tasty. I followed that up with the Jägerschnitzel which was also wonderful. Best of all though were the staff. They were SUPER friendly and patient (I didn't realize they needed cash so had to run back to the hotel for that since I only had my credit card).
