Dec2022: 2: I stopped by here with my spouse to get an after dinner treat. Neither one of us were impressed with the service nor the items we selected. I asked if the ice cream machine was functional and the worker said yes, but he couldn't give us cones. We said okay and selected two of the KitKat MC flurry's instead of the ice cream cone. I'm sorry he said, we only have cookies and m&m, no KitKat. Okay then, we will take one of each of them. Wait a second, I paid for the ice cream and noted that within a few minutes a lady received an ice cream cone. Sooo, was he lying about giving us the ice cream cone or just too lazy to go check it out. We received the concoction and it was not as expected and a disappointment of a treat for both of us.

Just your regular McDonald's with a Mexican twist. I actually really enjoyed breakfast! The best was the queso pie ! And they have apple soda! Never had that before so I was pretty happy about that too. Free wifi, AC and it was clean. Fast service but not the best :3

    The Double Signature Tasty

Recently I came back from a trip to Mexico. While I do enjoy sampling local cuisine in it's simplest form, I can't deny my curiosity to eat something familiar with a regional twist. I've had McDonald's in different countries and every one of them had incorporated that country's culinary style into their menu. The McDonald's here in Cabo regrettably didn't offer much in the way of unique items. That's not to say they didn't have burgers/sandwiches that were different from ours, but had I seen the menu beforehand I wouldn't think it came from Mexico. I decided to get their Double Signature Tasty with fries and nuggets. One thing peculiar I found here is that when they give you your drink they don't give you a straw or lid to cover it. The inside of the place is quite nice and its off a busy street. They have jalapeno sauce packets and the ketchup here is obviously spelt differently. I really did want to like my burger and I'm not saying it wasn't flavorful, but it was not an easy thing to eat. Between the copious amount of sauce and moist vegetables, it was a battle to keep my sandwich intact without everything sliding off. Can't even tell you how many napkins I went through just to dry my hands. It was a good burger but the fries and the nuggets didn't really taste that much different from what I'm used to (maybe a bit more fresh). I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of the apple pie, which was fried rather than baked; the outside is crisp and airy compared to what we have here. You have to be careful though because when you bite into it the filling can squeeze out anywhere and burn you. Not a bad experience, but definitely underwhelmed

Funny origin story: we were just looking for coffee on our first morning, and somewhere in that search decided -- hey, we're on vacation, why not find the best espresso martini spot instead? Best decision of the trip. Outpost delivered in a huge way. Bonus on a humid August day: They have AC inside. The space itself has real personality: exposed brick, framed portraits of aristocrats with dog heads on the walls, and a couple of TVs built into ornate frames just looping a crackling fireplace all day. Great 70s/80s soundtrack running the whole time too. Farm-to-table breakfast with genuinely clean ingredients -- huevos rancheros and avocado toast with a poached egg were both excellent. And the shrimp omelette had a red sauce that send the flavors over the top. The drinks are the real headliner though. I had them make my espresso martinis with reposado tequila instead of vodka, and it completely elevated the drink. My friend Kandy would usually start with an espresso martini too before moving on to their lavender martini, which became her go-to for the rest of the weekend. We also had a Carajillo done tableside, flambé style -- a full 3-minute production of lighting it on fire and pouring it back and forth before serving over ice. Genuinely one of the coolest drink presentations I've seen. Eneas took care of us all three days and was fantastic: warm, attentive, clearly loves his job. Alberto was great too. Bartender Rigo made every drink perfectly, tequila swaps and all. You can tell Chef Anna runs a tight kitchen and Jefe Calixto keeps the whole place running smoothly. If you're anywhere near the Marina, this is a must. We'll be back next time we're in Cabo.

We were able to get last-minute reservations and was warmly greeted when walking into the location by staff members and quickly seated. We chose to sit upstairs where they had a view of the street so it was a great place to people watch. The overall ambience is super cute and aesthetic and a great place to just kind of chill and have some food and drink drinks. I got one of the smash burgers and it was really good. The fries were really good. Also, the burger had a good taste and the food came out pretty quickly. My wife got the shrimp which were OK, but I would have to say that they were overcooked so they were a little on the chewy side. I would probably not get the shrimp again, but I would get the burger again. We also got some drinks, but we forgot to take pictures because we are so thirsty by the time we got to the restaurant so we drank them really quick, but they were delicious with a great flavor. This is a touristy place, so the cost of the dinner was definitely on the higher end for what we got, but overall the location was really good for a little pregame before stepping out into nightlife

I didn't want to do excursions so I found some alternative things to do and one of the things that was highly recommended was a massage at the Sandbar. I was able to go online to book and pre-pay. I posted the information in our Facebook group and ironically there were more people that were interested in going. We had a van of 10 people and then I think there was an Uber with two more people, so 12 people total from my group went to the Sandbar at around 11 AM on Saturday. When I got there, I asked the lady that was checking us in if it was possible to get a discount or a referral bonus or something because of the number of people that I bought in and she said "no" and I guess I had no choice but to accept that. I probably should've asked in advance, but I know a lot of businesses will offer discounts when you have a group. When I tell you the massage was amazing, I loved every single minute of my 90 minute full body massage. I loved being able to listen to the ocean and just the serenity was so good. Afterwards I changed into my clothes, tipped my masseuse then went downstairs to ask for water because every time I've gotten a massage it's followed by water so that you can hydrate. When I asked the hostess about getting water I was told you have to go to the bar and pay for it. I asked her why would we pay for water when we just spent money on a massage? She told me that only the foot massage comes with a drink. Well the foot massage is significantly cheaper so I don't understand that, but OK. She then said to just go talk to the people at the bar and as I was talking to the young lady at the bar, this guy came over, I'm guessing he was the manager, Pepe, and he was giving her the signal to not give me a complementary water. I thought that not only was that rude, it was extremely poor customer service. Some of the group that I was with decided to buy some tequila shots, so it's not like we were not spending money in their establishment because we were, and to not include a one dollar bottle of water is showing me that they don't value my money and I should not spend my money at that establishment ever again. I loved the massage, but it's very important to me to have good customer service and if you can't extend me a basic courtesy, you don't deserve to have my USD or my pesos.
