I was starstruck by the idea of McDonald's breading on wings so I lined up and placed my order. The menu selection is quite different from the US menu that I am used to, and honestly a lot cheaper when account for the dollar conversion. I ended up ordering the 3 McWing medium combo with the frozen Fanta, and also a 10 piece McBite. As far as McDonald's go, this is one of the nicest I've been to- fast moving service, nice lounge area to sit, and even a giant play area for kids despite it being an airport. The McWings are amazing, definitely the best fast food wings I've ever had. The McDonald's was well kept, and just a little loud with the play area, but worth it to see how happy the kids were.

This little food court location is located in the international terminal before security. I kind of wish I knew about it earlier because we were pressed for somewhere to sit downstairs while we waited to check in. If you arrive too early to check in/drop off your bags, head upstairs to kill time because there is way more seating. This location also is kiosk ordering only. I like self-ordering kiosks, but I know not everyone loves it. It was easy to navigate the menu and pay with a card. They also accept the NZ McDonald's app at the kiosk. The cheese bites were surprisingly good, although I think they should come with a sauce. The chicken bites were also surprisingly good, they were exactly what you'd expect... mini chicken nuggets. What I like about this branch is that theres a lot more dining space- I'm used to getting my BurgerFuel to go, only because it's so hard to find a table at times! I usually dread getting them because I know I'll never finish them (small appetite), but I'm usually determined to see how far I can get. I can't get the lightweight burgers because I find them just a tad too small- so I'm generally stuck in burger limbo. Although that doesn't mean I don't have my favourites!
