I'm giving one minus star because their lack of mechanics in shop when my car broke down on 20th of July and had been sit there for 10 days without anyone looking to see exactly what is wrong, not only that, I also from different town about 2 hours from my hometown, they don't consider myself as top priority or have a loaner so that I can drive home. What they should have told me only 2 mechanics and too many cars need to fix then I would have look for another shop. Took 14 days with no car!! Beware!! Don't go there!! read more

Worst dealership I've ever dealt with. Starting from the moment we walked in. The car I came in for was out on "vacation" with an employee when I inquired originally. Finally got in to see the vehicle and when we started the deal, the entire sales staff tried to completely low-ball my trade value (by over $5,000). The finance manager tried to tell me that I couldn't get this car at that price anywhere else. I told them what the other dealership was offering and he said "they're just undercutting your car to make a better sale" and then proceeded to do the exact same thing to me. I stated that I am a Stage 4 Cancer Patient, and that I was trying to put money back in my pocket from my trade in due to not being able to work, but they kept fighting me on what my trade value was. We researched and got numbers from multiple dealerships and websites and knew what we were looking at. One of their offers to "sweeten" the deal, was to offer me a Lifetime Warranty....to a stage 4 cancer patient. Total slap in the face. Once the deal was finalized it took 2 weeks to get my check from the dealership, and 55 days to receive the title, after being forced to contact Auto Dealer Services Division Indiana Secretary of State. They had to call on my behalf and threaten this dealership to get things moving. Was informed by state that this dealership has these issues often. Don't shop here. read more

Don't buy their warranty. They tell you that all you have to do is get an oil change every 5,000 miles, but then add other things like tire rotations and transmission work. They tell you it is bumper to bumper, but it isn't. Basically, it is to keep you spending money at their dealership rather than taking the vehicle elsewhere. Happy with the vehicle, but wasted time and money on a warranty that I didn't really want and wasn't what I was promised. read more

So continuing my Escape saga, I ended up at this dealer while we had a few days in Madison. Ron in the body shop said he would tale a look at my latch problem. When we asked if there was a restaurant close by, he handed us some demo keys. Nice! When returned Ron gave us the news - we needed a latch and an adjuster thing and it was warrantied. He ordered the part and promised to call as soon as it came in. While we waited, we asked a salesman if we could see a Fiesta. We were very clear the we were not buying today. He was gracious and showed us the car. Everyone here was very nice and I'll follow up with a review on the work when it is done. Okay - work done. Ron called me the next morning and said my part was in and if I could arrive by noon, it would only take him 15 minutes to install. I called the switchboard and asked if I could schedule an oil change. The woman said tomorrow was the soonest they could fit me in so I stopped in person. The service manager said he would fit me in. Between my repair and the oil change (kind of pricey at $38) I was there less than an hour. These guys really took care of me and I'm sorry they are hundreds of miles from my home! read more

Hello. I bought my car here. Highway Robbery Prices on Oil Change for my Lexus. $90. and some change, allegedly because they don't often service autos that need synthetic oil so they don't get the synthetic in quantity. Local Toyota dealer charged $60. and change, another local auto repair place quoted $80. I couldn't get an appointment with Toyota before I left on vacation. When I complained and told them what Toyota changed, they didn't even offer a small discount for goodwill. I told them I would never be back. I will NEVER darken their threshold again. I recently noticed a oil drip on my garage floor and suspect they didn't tighten something down, although I don't have any proof of this. But the car is going in for check up to TOYOTA next week, so I will get this checked and repost an update. Years ago, my Taurus needed a new battery and they charged about $300. to change and install battery. I swore then I would never go back, should have kept my promise to myself. Robbers! read more

We traded up our beloved and very clean 2009 V6 Mustang Convertible Deluxe (less than 45,800 mi) for a newer 2013 V6 Mustang Convertible Premium + Pony Package (less than 12,400 mi) at McCubbin Motors in Madison, IN. It all came together as if it were fated, but they say luck favors the prepared. In our case plenty of research following online listings, patience -- procrastination even -- flexibility and dumb luck all made for a satisfying end to our quest. After months of searching, the car at McCubbin was the only listing that was within a comfortable driving distance (less than 1 hour away) and fit our criteria (age/year, miles, price, color). The car at McCubbin was not exactly what we wanted -- I was really hoping for Grabber Blue or perhaps another Silver one -- don't get me wrong -- the Red Candy Metallic Tinted Clearcoat is stunning. We love it, but red was father down on the list given that we also have a Soul Red 2014 Mazda3. Also, McCubbin's website doesn't show any badging as a Ford, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge dealer -- I gather it is due to complications between the Ford and Chrysler side of their shop. Regardless, I assumed they were just a used car dealership. So, I passed over the McCubbin listing for a month or so hoping for something more ideal. Then I spotted a listing on the CarMax site that seemed perfect. It was silver, a little newer (2014) and had a few less miles (only 7k mi.) than the car we ultimately bought. We were even willing to pay an $400 fee to transfer it from San Antonio and spent a couple of hours at CarMax only to find out the car was given out as a loaner and was totaled. Bad luck for the driver -- good luck for us. We were still in a car buying mindset that day and made it to Madison just before McCubbin's closing time, which is when we finally realized that they are a Ford dealership. The moment we saw the Red 2013 Mustang, we both knew it was the one, and since we waited so long after first seeing the listing, McCubbin had already dropped the asking price a bit. So we didn't feel much need to dicker. In turn, they gave us no hassle, gave us a fair value on our trade in, and we were in and out in about an hour including the test drive. Beyond giving us one of the best car buying experiences we've ever had, they went above and beyond to work with us on a problem we found with the power seats right after the sale -- even gave us a loaner while it was in the shop. The next time we are car shopping, you can be sure McCubbin will be high on our go to list. read more

Absolutely worth the drive from Indianapolis to Madison to work with Dan and Toby. I knew I wanted a Fiat 500L but couldn't find one at a price in Indy that my husband would agree to. I found mine from McCubbin on Cars.com. The service is simply unparalleled. Dan and my husband agreed on a price before we started our drive down there which was really so considerate. Dan understood we were driving almost two hours down there and treated us with utmost fairness. When we got there, Dan and Toby were genuine and incredibly accommodating. This is value-added service you don't get everywhere. I've already recommended them to two other people and will continue to do so! read more

Why do I have to be the one this happened to.... this dealership has a great reputation and we needed a van. My van was hit head on and totaled and my husband was out of work for a few months so we had to make a good purchase. We are a family with three little kids and did not have transportation for them all, and claims in auto accidents take a while even when you are not at fault.... found a van with a DVD player in it at McCubbin with cool stuff for a family ride (used). We were assured that all the components were working and that the vehicles are looked over thoroughly because I made it clear we had no extra money to make a mistake and I didn't want to worry about tires or brakes or fluids. We split the cost of tires, they put on new brakes as the current ones were bad, and they said the fluids were good and the oil had been changed; that all cars receive a full look over before selling. Within a few days we tried out the DVD player and it didn't work for more than 15 minutes, the stereo resets itself. We immediately called McCubbin. Also the car was "jerking" and the engine light was on which was a concern as they said the car was checked out. The battery also died twice. But, we bought a warranty and when we called to come in regarding the issues we found out the warranty didnt kick in for 90 days. This was never stated to us. We brought the car in so it could be looked at anyway to verify there was nothing major and found out the oil had never been changed (there was hardly any oil in the van) and the battery was bad. They said they would change the oil and we asked that they check all fluids and make sure the van is okay. They said to bring it back in three months when the warranty kicked in and they would fix everything and get me a new battery and fix the DVD player, they changed the oil. Stupid us to believed them, when I took my van back they said the stereo was not covered (it resets itself constantly) and they would get me a portable DVD player that can be plugged into the van. They are going to replace the battery that died on me repeatedly since the first week of ownership and flush the transmission but they wont fix my stereo the car came with.... or the head phones where were in pieces (they said those would be replaced under the warranty). AND the warranty kicks in the SAME DAY YOU BUY IT. Not three months later. Dont trust these people, Toby the manager was minimizing and said there was nothing he could do three months later. No kidding, which is why Toby and service said to wait three months. Toby admitted they send in their paperwork once per month for warranties, but I have a contract I have to abide by that is dated stating I have a warranty and the warranty company said it kicks in the same day you buy. Toby said the lemon law would not apply and I said I think honest business practice will once I escalate this issue. So unfortunate. I have tried to be repeatedly reasonable, and yes its a used car but people should still be honest and honor what they say. Its clear this van never never received a once over prior to purchase and to lie about a warranty when we have three little ones we transport is disgusting. All the best guys, I could not live with myself treating customers they way you have treated my family. read more

After a few days and many phone calls they decided to sell the car i was looking at to someone else so they could make more money. Yes, they told me this. They wasted not only my time but my banks time. All our paper work was ready to go and at the last min. grrrrrrr I will never visit there store again.. buyer beware, right. read more
