I walked in to Rons Jewelers on 980 Western Ave to discuss my idea of the custom ring I wanted before we left for our anniversary vacation. Ashley looked at the picture of the ring I had been looking at and said yeah we can do that. Then I said can you do it on my very short timeline? Again Ashley said yes we can do that! I went home right away to get my wife's other rings because I needed to get the right size. I got back in about half and hour and we sat down looked at the setting I wanted and they got everything started. Two days later they had stones for me to pick from with excellent expert advice from both on the choice of the stones for what I was looking for. Once that was done I had the ring in my hands a day and a half later. They literally put other work aside to help get the perfect custom anniversary ring made for me to present to my wife. I can't say enough about the professionalism and dedication to customer service. I'll definitely be taking more work to Marc and Ashley in the future and I suggest you do too if you want to purchase or get custom orders made.

To our surprise, we were presented with a red string bracelet that looked awfully similar to bracelets we saw online for no more than $14, and one my newborn already has from a credible crystal shop. We asked what materials in the bracelet constituted the $140 price tag and their defense was to immediately discredit the other shop by saying the azabache stone could be fake. If that is the case and their so-called authentic stone is worth $20, does that mean the red string and evil eye bead is worth $120? Keep in mind this bracelet is for a newborn, so there's only 4-5" of material used. I understand Martha and co have a business to run, but they really took advantage of us even after we were trying to be reasonable and voice our concerns directly to them at the time of pick-up. Martha did not seem remorseful and avoided to present any solutions to us. Pictures posted--It honestly looks like they took an Amazon.com bracelet, unassembled the string to add a stone or two, and attempted to re-assemble by burning the ends in an uneven matter (which looks questionable and dangerous for a newborn to wear). It's complete shoddy work from a business that's been surviving this long. Perhaps they provide better results on other services, but they had the opportunity to gain the trust and business from our family and failed.

I brought my wedding band in for a repair after one diamond fell out (which I was fortunate enough…read moreto find). I was quoted a little over $200 for the diamond replacement and a very minor resize of ¼ size down. When I went to pick up the ring, I was informed--after the work was already completed--that additional prongs had been replaced on both sides of the ring and that I now owed an extra $240. I was never contacted, informed, or asked for approval before this additional work was done. The explanation given was that some of the prong work was necessary due to resizing. However, after waiting over 40 minutes at pickup because the ring was "in billing," I was then told the resize had actually been forgotten entirely and had to be done on the spot. This made the justification for the unapproved prong work even more concerning. After calling twice and initially being brushed off by sales associates, I finally spoke with the owner, who acknowledged that I had not consented to the extra work and agreed to waive the additional charge. While I appreciate the owner ultimately correcting the billing, the situation itself should never have occurred. Jewelry--especially a wedding band--is deeply personal. Any additional work, design changes, or charges should never be performed without explicit customer approval. Between the unapproved services, forgotten resize, and billing delay, the experience felt disorganized and stressful. I would urge future customers to proceed with caution, insist on written estimates, and require approval before any additional work is done.
