When the interest rates dropped my mother tried to refinance and the banks refused. She was very upset and called Leslie, MANY times, for an explanation. Leslie NEVER spoke to my mother. She had her assistant call and tell her there was nothing she could do but dissolve the trust. That was not a consideration as my mother was 85 and the look back, if a nursing home was needed, is 5 years. We were told that my mother could have refinanced if Leslie had included terms in the trust that allowed for refinancing. She did not. My parents spent A LOT of money and time with Leslie Madge and I feel the least she could have done was have had the common courtesy to speak to my mother and show some concern over her situation. I will never refer anyone to her or her firm. She can not take the time out to deal with former clients to right a wrong. Once she receives the money it is a done deal..

I received a very nasty e-mail from David Feakes demanding that I keep to the schedule, which was meeting with the attorney drafting the documents for only 1 hour. That was the only meeting allowed other than the final signing. It's impossible to review all those documents in that short a time. And their secure portal Clio was an absolute farce. It would kick you off after only a short time to review the documents. My wife and I have had our Trust documents updated by 3 different law firms. And at each update, we've met in person numerous times to review and discuss changes either side thought should be made. Not so with this firm. You get only a single 1 hour meeting. To top it off, I gave them the 2nd payment as agreed at that 1 hour meeting only to find that they had done an EFT from my bank without my permission at the same time. When I gave them the check for the final payment at the sign off meeting, I discovered afterward that they had already helped themselves to my checking account a month before the final payment was due.
