I understand Calhoun's not responding to me; he's in federal detention without bail and will probably remain incarcerated for the rest of his life. What mystifies me is that someone who purports to be a criminal defense attorney would be so ignorant of the law. Mr. Calhoun's defense as he told the Atlanta Constitution a few days ago is that "at the most, I am guilty of criminal trespass". This canard would undoubtedly LOL to every judge in the country. The real reason for this trespassing charge was to "hold" on Mr. Calhoun while the Government prepared more serious filing which it has now done. Mr. Calhoun now has the privilege of being accused of being a traitor, seditionist, domestic terorits and having participated in the murder of a Capitol policeman (felony-murder). This is a rare achievement for criminal defense lawyer. Those who retained him are entitled to a full refund. For centuries, the answer to the age old riddle "What do you call five hundred lawyers at the bottom of the sea?" has been "A good start". Mr. Calhoun is so execrated, that given a choice, anyone would gladly send him below instead of those 450, like a PLO-Israeli prisoner exchange. Rest assured, Mr. Calhoun will wind at the bottom of the sea The Florence CO Supermax, home of El Chapo and the Boston Marathon Bomber is a black hole from which none emerge. Then again, murder of a federal officer carries the death penalty, which may severely cut off Mr. Calhoun's jail time. As for Mr. Calhoun's practice of law and his teaching position as the "prestigious" University of GA, one is awestruck. When you are in need of an attorney...remember where this shining example of virtue spent the infamous day of January 6, 2021. He was able to LEAVE the practice of law and participate in what the media is referring to as and I quote " Mass Insurrection" which has now been deemed by said media as an unlawful coup. If he is a part of the riff raff that follows the Idiot in the federal residence (white house) some voted for ,I do not think I would be comfortable paying him a fee to handle a legal issue. I prefer lawyers who obey the laws. I am not a fan of lawyers who try to overthrow governments. Do not recommend.
