3 delayed closings in less than 2 months. Everyone that I have come in contact with at McAffree-Short is incompetent. Closing #1 was delayed 2 days due to them ordering the wrong information. We are all human and accidents happen, but in trying to communicate with them and to help rectify their own mistake, they chose to ignore me, refuse to answer calls or hide when I came to the office. At the actual delayed closing 2 days later, one lady in particular Lynsey Turner blatantly lied to myself and mortgage company as to what the delay was. She was blaming my mortgage company, so I decided to call on speakerphone and get to the bottom of it. When caught lying, Lynsey froze up and literally ran out of the office. We also found out after the fact that the other parties paperwork was done incorrectly, forcing me to pay an additional $1,000 out of pocket to the seller. No apology was given or solution was offered other than the excuse of "one of the new girls handled it" and I would have to pay that out of pocket as well. Closing #2 was with a different employee ( I forget her name ). It was delayed a day "because their printers wouldn't work". You have an office with 300+ real estate agents, you can't find a single printer to work?! My guess is that they dropped the ball on something again and needed yet another day. After heroically finding a printer to work the next day - it took over 30 days to get me my copies and paperwork with guarantee. When received, it was incorrect - still waiting on it today almost 45 days after the fact. Have only been ignored, transferred around and ignored some more. Closing #3 was supposed to be yesterday, it will be delayed another week due to the incompetency of McCaffree-Short The staff will say anything to you on the phone to get off the phone with you. If you go to the office they will tell you they will email you everything by the end of business. Neither ever happens. I am at my wits end with this company. They either need to hire more help and train their employees about honesty, integrity and customer service or they need to close up for good in my opinion. My advice would be go elsewhere for your title needs. There are tons of title companies out there, I will never use McCaffree-Short again, and I would recommend the same if you prefer to have a normal level of sanity. I truly believe my 2 year old would be more efficient on his Leapfrog laptop than this company. 1 star is simply way too many, but unfortunately that is the least Google will allow.
