Whenever unexpected issues arose, he found and explained the root cause and offered a solution at a very reasonable price. Right at the end, when we found the door was cut to the wrong size at the factory, Steve advocated for us and secured a brand new door at no extra cost. Steve is remarkably punctual and dedicated to his craft. He maintains constant communication, ensuring we're promptly informed of any developments. His pricing is consistently fair, and his work exemplifies quality and precision. Steve consistently seeks to address challenges in the most effective manner. When we faced an issue with rotten siding, he was the sole contractor to propose fixing the flashing above the siding, preventing any future problems. It's this level of attention to detail and commitment that truly distinguishes him. His quotes are always fair, and very accurate. If the price goes up, he asks first and offers a variety of solutions. If the price goes down, he's always returned the excess at the end. I'd trust Steve for any project at my house, big or small. I first got a quote from Vaillancourt Roofing for about $34,500 when my sister told me that we…read moreshould look at Queen City Roofing. As I researched them, their reputation was stellar. We went with them, and the final cost was $19,500. Both quotes had a 50-year warranty, and the only differences were that Vaillancourt put a 4' higher layer of the neoprene (I think) barrier, and they used Owens Corning shingles. Even though I do not know the names of name-brand shingles, I am 100% sure that Queen City Roofing also used an excellent brand, if for no other reason than they do not want to come back to do repairs. Anyway, those two little differences were not worth $15,000!! I also recommend using their recommended finance company as they were much easier to get what amounts to a high-dollar personal loan, than through my bank, for only 1% higher interest rate. Anyway, when they finally did the job, I was worried about how many nails would be left on the ground. Well, they did an incredible cleanup job. Based on the quotes I mentioned, you can imagine we have a very large roof, and so far, I have found 6 nails. They had 12 guys working that day, and did the whole roof in one day. They started at 7 a.m., and were done by 4:30! I cannot recommend them enough.

Prior to contacting Premier, we had water issues in our basement which made our basement nearly unusable; after getting moderate rain we'd get big puddles of water. After Premier installed the french drain, the basement has become our home office, our workout room, and we can store things without worrying about water damage. Marvin the young man who ran the job site is absolutely amazing , I can't say enough good things about him . The price was a little higher than quotes that came in after I went with Premier but if I had those quotes before and could of saved 2k I would choose not to and stay with Premier mainly because of those 3 people I named. I had a foot of water in my basement after a storm, Marvin arrived and put a sump pump in to drain all the water . He got Jerry to come in and look it over for a quote. I'll post the price and work done. - Came out and drained all the water with sump pump - they demoed a whole room , taking down all the walls , heating system and doors then disposed of all the wood. -they dug , installed about 100 sq feet of French drain , poured drainage gravel on top then re-cemented over it. - they installed a 2 pump system with battery back up and alarm - they installed a moisture barrier on the entire basement - They dug a trench and ran sump line out to safe area outside - Took 3 full days to complete - they stayed until 9pm on a Friday to be sure it was 100% completed. - everything was about 15k in total If you use them make sure you ask for Marvin to do the work , he's very honest and answers all your questions without trying to upsell anything . They literally just left my house at 9pm because they wanted it finished before tomorrows rain , only thing left is Jerry was going to have someone reconnect the heating but everything water proof wise is complete. I'll update the review if there's any issues but as of this moment I've never felt better about a service.

The project was in two parts because part of the damage was under solar panels. So we paid for what he did, and stayed in touch as the installers weren't able to get to us for weeks. Final roofing work happened yesterday, and he also replaced two shingles that had fallen since he'd left (not his fault). Easy to communicate with, generally responded same day or next day. Would use again.

The relationship ended before the chimney cleaning and resealing of a furnace vent into the chimney was done. However, I would recommend the following when dealing with the owner, John. These are practices that you could use with any vendor who works on your home. 1) Make sure that the proposal is broken down in terms of how much he is charging for each service (i.e. repointing, painting, chimney sweeping etc...). DO NOT accept a total cost only proposal. 2) Avoid being pushed into paying any money beyond the initial deposit before all the work is completed. 3) Do some research to determine how much his price for services compares to those charged by his peers in the area.
