This experience was the worst. My daughter had all her Wisdom Teeth extracted. We believed the…read moreinformation we received for her care was adequate: the sutures would dissolve in 7-10 days, and she would need to keep the sockets clean for the next several weeks until the healing was complete. First, there was no follow-up phone call once we left the office. Second, my daughter's recovery was complicated due to the fact that the sutures were still intact after four weeks. This resulted in an infection and visit to the emergency room. A second visit to mcmurray's office was necessary to have these sutures removed. Once this was completed, she was escorted to the waiting room and dismissed. The receptionist was the only one available to answer any of my questions, and she was not able to respond to any of my concerns. Once we got to our vehicle my daughter broke down and started crying. She said they gave her something to numb her gums, but began removing the sutures before the numbing was complete. They didn't ask her how she felt, they just started the procedure. Third, a follow-up appointment was scheduled. When we arrived, we were greeted by the surgical assistant; mcmurray chose to wait in his office. He only appeared after I requested to speak with him and the office manager. I detailed our frustration with the care we received (the lack of follow-up, the emergency room outcome, and how they hastily removed the sutures before the numbing was complete). Both the office manager and surgical assistant were sympathetic. They showed empathy and compassion towards my daughter, and were apologetic for what she experienced. mcmurray was the complete opposite. He refused to accept any responsibility, arrogantly stating 'sometimes these things happen', and 'we can't predict every outcome'. He was dismissive, smug, and made continuous efforts to speak over me. No apology to our daughter, and absolutely no accountability for this debacle. Will definitely state to everyone to stay away from mcmurray. His lack of professionalism and disdain for his patients is pathetic. He is a disgrace to the profession.

I want to share something that doesn't sit right with me…read more An elderly family member of mine went to Aspen Dental in Hollister for dentures. She was alone, in pain, and trusted the process. She ended up being signed into a financing plan at nearly 30% interest over 7 years. What started as about $8,000 will turn into almost $19,000. The issue isn't just the cost--it's that she didn't fully understand what she was agreeing to. The focus was on a "manageable monthly payment," not the total financial impact. Situations like this raise serious concerns about how elderly patients are treated when making major financial and medical decisions alone. I'm sharing this so others can be aware: please make sure your loved ones never go through major procedures or financing decisions without someone they trust present.

The doctors, assistants, hygienists, and the front counter staff have been nothing but caring and kind. They did everything to ensure I felt comfortable, safe, and happy. Thanks to the team at Aspen Dental in Hollister for making me feel more confident. I can say this is one dentist's office that you won't dread coming to. I'm looking forward to writing a follow-up review after my molar extraction (thank you to the staff for putting my mind at ease and taking the time to answer every question I had). Would definitely recommend Aspen if you're looking for a good dentist and team! Also special shoutout to Dr.Pathak, assistant Anissa, hygienist Pegah, and the front desk team Vanessa + the kind gentleman I didn't catch the name of! Amazing customer service!

I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after my recent experience I feel it is important to…read moreshare what happened. During my most recent cleaning, the hygienist cut my lower right gum quite severely while scaling. At the time I did not immediately realize the extent of it because the area had been numbed. Once the numbing wore off, I started experiencing significant pain in that area. I initially assumed my gums were just a little sensitive from the cleaning, but the pain never improved. Over the next several days the pain became worse and began radiating through the right side of my mouth and face. I experienced sharp, shooting gum pain and even headaches on that side. The original injury was on the lower right gum, but I am now experiencing sensitivity in multiple teeth on the right side, both upper and lower, especially when eating. It has now been about two weeks and the pain and sensitivity are still present. I have had many dental cleanings over the years and have never experienced anything like this before. A routine cleaning should not result in this level of gum trauma or lingering nerve pain. Unfortunately this is not the first issue I have had with this office. Several years ago I had a crown done here that was not completed properly. When I raised concerns at the time, the office blamed my orthodontist for the problem. However, when I later returned to my orthodontist, they immediately noticed the issue with the crown and commented that the dental work had not been done the way it should have been. Between the improperly handled crown and the injury during my recent cleaning, I no longer feel confident in the quality of care provided here. Dental work requires precision and attention to detail, and my experiences here unfortunately have not reflected that. UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE: this is the correct office. I see that you reply the same thing to almost every negative review trying to shift blame to the reviewers for writing a review for the "wrong office" it's sad that is how you handle your business
