Now this IS a fabric store!…read more This place is amazing :) I've been visiting all the most highly-recommended fabric stores in Amsterdam looking for fabric for a new coat and by far this place has the largest selection of any. Not just for coats, but it seems they have every type of fabric imaginable. It's a bit of a trek though because since Covid they have re-located to the small village of Weesp (about 45 minutes if you take the Sprinter train from Amsterdam Centraal Station including a 25 min walk) but in my opinion well worth the effort! It's not a slick operation (no fancy store fronts and beautiful displays) but a friendly family-owned operation with a vast inventory. So if you are looking for something you are not quite sure of (like ideas), their warehouse/store in Weesp is a great place to wander through! T.

Really gorgeous pieces. There were maybe four other customers plus me in the store. I was able to browse the entire space and as I neared the front, a customer entered and a worker greeted her cheerily, crossing in front of me as she did so. I looked at her, no greeting for me, so I took me and my money elsewhere.

They have a beautiful selection of silks (and buttons) that are reasonably priced. When you first enter the area is mostly devoted to trimming and the back of the center area is devoted to bias tape and trim. The rooms on the sides are full of fabrics--fashion and upholstery. There's some beautiful apparel fabrics as well as some more unique ones. In one of the rooms there's a remnants bin with some good deals. I'll definitely be stopping by next time I'm in Amsterdam.

We got lovely Liberty of London fabric at a much better price than in London (even with the exchange rate). Also, the store keepers are darn nice people, with amazing, genuine customer service.
