I'd like to share my experience with salon for the last 5 years. I am always happy to have my hair done by the ladies in this salon. Magye is the owner and she's my stylist. She has many years of experience and also has taught her profession to many others. She is accommodating with scheduling. She greets you with a pleasant attitude and is very patient. She listens to what you are requesting done to your hair and also gives advice to the care of your hair. She is truly great at what she does. The salon is also very clean and family friendly. They have barbers for men if they prefer but these ladies cut men's hair as well. They are amazing with children's hair as well. They are very patient as they are mom's as well. Tengo que admitir que hasta cambié de barber shop cuando tuve mi primer corte aquí, con una persona muy especial para mi en cuanto a la estética, se llama "Letty", además de muy buenos cortes también me arreglo mi tinte de cabello, yo me lo había maltratado intentando usar el peróxido aplicándomelo yo mismo, me había quemado el cuero cabelludo yo mismo, y tenía un concierto en dos semanas. Pero ella solucionó mi problema y hasta la fecha de hoy aún tengo el mismo tinte en el cabello como en esta foto. Ya ha pasado más de el mes. Me encantó mucho. I heard about this salon thru a facebook post in spanish. They needed 10 volunteers for it's new students training practice. Costed about $50-60 total to which I believed went toward supplies. I live in Sacramento and this was in Lincoln. Travel time was 50 mins. My unexpected appointment took about 6-8 hours (i don't recall since it was a year ago but I believe it to be a full work shift) 9am to 4pm ish resulted me missing church at 2pm. Once they washed out the toner I told them I needed to leave. They asked me to stay to blow dry my hair but I couldn't wait no more. I got done and left before 9 other people who were still there. That was 1 star short from getting full 5 stars. The 4 stars rating was decided based on the outcome. Before my appointment, I already had bleached faded blonde hair to which mighta made the process quicker. I got home and used my hair blow dryer. The result was amazing. The colors turned out cool what I wanted. The hair artists were friendly and during noon while they were eating asked if I wanted anything next door. read more

MAGYE is amazing for doing hair. My sister and I have followed her Since she moved from Sacramento to Lincoln - that just shows how much we trust her. :) I usually come in asking for a balayage, and she really takes time and consideration to make sure we're on the same page before she even touches my hair. I naturally have very deep, inky black hair, and I'm always so impressed at how light she can pull it in ONE session. She takes her time with blending colors together and the results are always beautiful. I got tons of compliments afterwards and I felt like a new woman lol. Tip: bring a lot of reference pics! Each and everyone of them are knowledgeable, professional and competent. I've never had cause to complain. I have always been completely satisfied with the results. I am very disappointed with the work that Magye did on my hair. I drove 45 minutes to get my hair done by magye, she took 6 hours on my hair and only damaged and left my hair looking hideous. I'm so embarrassed I can't even go out because it's that bad . Now I have 1 week to get it fixed before the special event that I have My hair was not damaged to begin with and now I have two different colors on my hair. The top half is silver and the bottom half is orange. So when she rinsed my hair she only blow dried the hair from the front because it's what looked good at the time and then told me she wouldn't blow dry the rest because my hair was "too damaged" & that I needed to let it air dry on its own to prevent any more damage. However she knew she had ruined my hair and that if I would've dried it there that I would've realized my hair was two different colors, but I mean that's the last thing that I expected from her so I just went along with it. When I got home I realized my hair was a mess and texted her letting her know that my hair was ruined and her advice to me was to "curl it " wth is that gonna do? Like seriously she didn't even offer to help fix it or nothing she just told she can't do anything to help fix my hair ! So now I have to pay someone else to fix my hair . LESSON LEARNED! Never going back to Magye so I don't recommend . I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else read more

Went in to schedule an appointment with magye specifically. She took a look at my hair and I explained to her that I didn't want it to look yellow/blonde anymore, that I wanted it lighter so she pretty much told me she couldn't do that because it was going to damage my hair(which is none of her concern) and came up with what she thought, im assuming, would be the easiest to do. She showed me an example of what my roots were going to look like ( a dark brown color).I came in the day of the appointment and she had another appointment with someone else set up at the same time and she started hers instead and told me somebody else was going to do my hair. The person who started doing my hair did not know what she was doing and needed magye to instruct her on what to do almost every step of the way. She pretty much just added an ashy brown color to "hide the orange/yellow" (which it didn't) and decolored my roots (at the end of the process they were orange, when I was told by magye that they were going to be dark brown). Also, my hair was about 3 inches shorter because she pretty much forced me to let her cut my hair. I complained about it on the spot and they all teamed up and said it looked good and did not bother to fix it. Magye had also told me it was going to be an extra $10 charge to style my hair (From my understanding, every single place just styles, curls or straightens your hair as part of the process). But as soon as she noticed I was unhappy with it, she all of a sudden changed her mind and said " I thought u had more hair thats why I had said that but I was wrong." The color that was added into my hair washed out 2 days later. I reached out to her about it and she ignored me for several days until I told her I was going to come in for a refund. She responded very unprofessionally and ended up blocking me. I went in to get her license number and she hid it and would not let me get it (by law it is supposed to posted for the public to see). Overall very bad experience with this place, unprofessional and dishonest person in charge. read more
