The front desk receptionist was very helpful in informing customers of different activities available in Bacalar and what restaurants are good to visit. There was a lot of european foreigners that stayed here. Overall I loved the service and the location of the hotel.

Regardless, there were a few dry spells in-between the rain and wind! The resort has stand up paddle boards for guests to go out into the beautiful lagoon. There is also a small pool. The rooms are spacious enough and some have a patio area with hanging chairs - perfect for reading a book and overlooking the lagoon. Breakfast is served in the open-air covered veranda. The coffee machine was a bonus! You can book massages and a plunge pool however those are also done outdoors so if there is a hurricane, then it won't work out. The staff were very helpful and there is gated parking for guests. Would highly recommend this spot.

The open-air dining area serves water and coffee all day and the complimentary breakfast consisted of fruit plate, choice of eggs, bread and local preserves. In this case, it was green and red tomato jams. They do offer massages and cold plunge baths in addition to the hot tub. Price-wise, eh, it's about the same as what you would pay back home. If I recall, massages were like $120 for 90 minutes or so? I was there during Hurricane Nadine so the massages were not offered as everything is open air. Despite being there during torrential downpours, the room was large enough and the patio area was sheltered enough to make the stay enjoyable. There is a small infinity pool and there are two stand up paddle boards for use. Service is with a smile and very accommodating. There is a small area to park otherwise there is plenty of street parking. Unfortunately you can't really walk to the small downtown area but it is less than a 10 minute drive. Highly recommend!

My experience with this business is very pleasant and that's why I'm sharing this review with the world however you must know that this place is designed to be a place for individuals who are looking to spend some time in a quiet and beautiful zone you get to enjoy the beautiful lagoon, swim without any restrictions , the food they offer is really good but you can also rent a car witch I recommend so you can drive to the Bacalar town at anytime you feel like it's very safe.
