Absolutely disgusted with Mayflower Dental. Came in for a consultation Saturday for my wisdom teeth. Was told it would cost $70 and it was $130 for the consultation. I was also told I could be sedated, all 4 teeth would be removed at once and they did payment plans so I wouldn't have to pay anything upfront. Fast forward to today. I get to my appointment and I'm told that I can't be put to sleep because they'd have to refer me to the oral surgeon in Sydney River and that would take 2-3 weeks, they're only removing one tooth per appointment at $262 per tooth, and I'd have to pay upfront because they don't offer payment plans for this type of service. I was so excited to be pain free, only to pay $130 to have my time wasted. Lovely. read more

I was into mayflower dental today for a cleaning, when I arrived 15 minutes before my 10:00 am appointment, when I checked in I asked the receptionist (Candice). Who I was going to be with, she responded very abruptly and rudely. And said " you're only having a cleaning" then Jessica quickly interjected who I was going to be with and that " I would like her and that she was good". That's what Candice could have said instead of saying you're only having a cleaning. Maybe Candice could use some public relation skill courses, I would hope that upper management looks into this issue. Because I almost walked out before being taken in for my cleaning. I wanted 1 broken tooth fixed with a filling the day I went in. I even wrote on the form "filling in broken tooth". The receptionist gave me a price quote of $111 to $126 depending on depth. When I came out to pay it was $538 because the dentist took it upon himself to not only fix the broken tooth, but to give me 4 fillings in several teeth and not even tell me what he was doing or tell me how much it would cost. The dentist was continently leaving for Florida that night. My advice is to avoid this place but if you do go here then get a quote in writing!! They're con artists!! read more

I have a emergency, I had an infected wisdom tooth and i was dying from the pain; no one else would accept me and they gladly took me in though there was one 1 dentist working that day. I am so thankful they did, they were also very nice and took understanding that I have a TMJ problem and worked around that issue. read more

how does this dentist stay in business ? they should be struck of the Canadian Dental Association and reported for fraud prices. they make up the prices along the way you might say ok i need my teeth cleaning. and they give you a price quote of $140 to $250 but when you come out you got a different bill all together of what they price quoted you i would recommend finding another family dentist as this dentist is a scam. as you dont know how much your paying as a set fee it all price quote but you wont know how much until they finish the work and then say oh its $450 for filling in two teeth. take my word when they start giving you a price quote and not a standard prices walk right away. as that $120 will be $180 nearly every dentist you go for a clean or a tooth filling will give you a fix prices and you know how much it costing before the work is done. but this dentist does not it all quotes.
