I had an asthma attack and couldn't breathe. So, I went to this hospital emergency room. From the…read moretime I entered the emergency room I was given the best care from the best nurses, doctor on duty and nurses aids. Everyone was professional, friendly and experienced in their field. You could feel their concern for you. I was admitted on the 22nd of September and spent the night I had a male nurse (Theo) who made a big impression on me. He explained everything he was going to do. Always smiling and when I was admitted later he came up to my room to make sure I was doing well. This man went to school, studied and worked no time for a life. Thank you the dedicated workers in the E.R. and on the 5th floor . Also, Ms. Coombs patient care director who talked to each patient asking how their stay is and how they can improve the quality of care. She even got a repair worker in to fix my tv fast. Thank you Dr. Miyazaki for discharging me. I had one person to pick me up with a time limit. He went out of his way to discharge me right away. The hospital was clean and well staffed. Their care makes an unwanted visit a little more pleasant.

I've always had strong experiences with NewYork-Presbyterian, so I came in expecting that same…read morelevel of professionalism and care. This location did not meet that standard. The doctors themselves were solid. The OB/GYN who cared for my wife stood out. Professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. Dr. Kevin Molyneux also made a strong impression. He was focused, clear, and took good care of my wife. Where things fell short was with the overall staff experience. Bedside manner across much of the team was lacking. Interactions felt dismissive at times, especially in the emergency department. Basic coordination also needs work. Housekeeping was requested multiple times and never showed up. Communication between shifts was inconsistent. There were gaps in handoffs and documentation, which made it harder to understand what had already been done and what came next. The facility itself feels dated and doesn't reflect the standard I associate with NYP. I'm giving 3 stars because the doctors delivered where it mattered most. But based on this experience, we would choose a Manhattan NYP location next time.

Sometimes you are pleasantly surprised when you least expect it. Entering this facility we met Lisa…read morethe receptionist who was professional, thorough and completed all of the necessary preliminary authorizations in a timely fashion. Each one was explained and then my husband placed his signature on the pad. She is informative, bright and answered all of our questions. Throughout the course of the morning she kept me informed about the timeline of the procedure. Beverly put my husband at ease and let me come back for the first phase of the procedure. Andrea came out to keep me posted and Dr.Mathisson came out to when the surgery was completed and finally he came out smiling and stated he sees so much better. Naomi the other nurse explained how the procedure worked and the guidelines do that he would stay stay stationary. Dr. Greenspan administered the anesthesia and all in all this was a positive experience. My husband was impressed with the i organization and the unity of the team. I took my Mom for her eye surgery & was pleasantly surprised after having read so many negative…read morereviews. We received prompt, friendly service with a smile. She was told ahead of time the time to arrive to her appt. So she wouldn't have to wait too long & also advised to bring a sweater, as it gets cold inside. We did as instructed. We got there by 11:00 (in time, not early) & she was done with her surgery by 1:20-1:30. She was treated kindly & received quality care. She was given drops for after care & scheduled for follow up, which she received & has been fine. I gave the place a 4 only because the waiting area isn't too big & can get crowded, otherwise a good experience & no complications!
