    My husband and I went to the Maxwell House for dinner yesterday for the first time. Our server, Alex was awesome!! He was very nice, prompt and was very attentive. And he was the only one working the bar and dining areas. The food was amazing. We shared the Maxwell Poutine. My husband got the Broasted Chicken with fries and I got the Prime French Dip. And of course we had to taste each other's food. The parking is limited, but we knew that before we went. I can't believe that we never tried this place before now. We will definitely be back soon.

    Chickens have never been treated so well. Well, that is, considering they're dinner. You've read about the broasted chicken, and it is a crispy delicious as all the reviews say but here are the pro tips: 1. Get the broasted chicken wings. Way more crunch for you buck by far. 2. There's a sauce that they put on the loaded tots. Order that on the side for dipping. It comes with Frank's red hot and ranch, but this other sauce is the bomb. Loaded tots are also worth getting. I've seen tots that carrierd more load, but these actually have a good tot to stuff balance. A good app for the table to share of get 'em for yourself you're feeling hungry. Friendly staff and if you love a good dive bar this is your place.

    ~~~still the same, baby, baby, still the same~~~ on our 20 year memory lane trip to Spokane, the Maxwell House Tavern, our old neighborhood watering hole was a must stop. the outside is still exactly the same along with the iconic sign. don't let the outside turn you off. the interior has been updated with new booths, tables and flooring. the pool tables are still in the adjoining room and there were folk playing pool just like in the old days. the biggest surprise was the ladies room: painted, brightened up, new fixtures and lighting. it is an amazing transformation. the previous owner, Rich's salad bar is gone, so his delicious clam chowder is off the menu. the menu is expanded. the steak dinner is gone, but the famous 1/2 chicken is still on the menu and just as good as i remembered. it's still a great deal even if the price is now $16.00. the new owners -who used to be regular customers- are welcoming and knows everyone's names. people stopped for a few drinks after work and went home and others stayed for dinner, some pool, some sports on the new tvs, and conversation at the bar. this is not a fancy gastro-pub or as we used to call them brass-and-ferns-bars. the food is honest tavern fare that is well-prepared. this is still a true neighborhood tavern. enjoy them while they are still around.
    Certainly some of the friendliest staff we've encountered in the Spokane metro, and every one of them in continuous movement taking care of the dining, bar and kitchen areas. Made it all seem so effortless. The Broasted Chicken here is the stuff of legend. Been over a decade since my last visit, and it was my Wifey's first time. The new owners are doing the food just how I remembered. Just with more smiles than the last management, haha. Last night's dinner we went with a large order of their Broasted Wings, and they were fantastic. Big, meaty, perfectly crispy on the outside, and perfectly done on the inside. I also ordered their house Burger, and the Macaroni Salad that I selected as a side was amazing. It had shredded white-meat chicken, and could have been a meal in itself. Parking can be tricky at peak times, but it's definitely worth half a block's walk to visit. It's one of the oldest restaurants in the city, and they're still hitting it outta the park. The new ownership/team is awesome...
    Came here based on Yelp reviews. Don't drive by, come in to some of the best chicken in the Northwest, seriously!!! Friendly attentive staff. Great prices on food and drinks. My go to for chicken. Everything else looked great too. But that chicken!
    Lots of TV's for sports.
    More of a bar than a restaurant. Good service, tv's and pool tables. Poor quality of food. There is a very limited menu items.
    Good food at a good price. Nice folks. It's a real hole in the wall but we like it. Volleyball court and pool tables if that's your thing.
