Based on seeing this same eatery and logo in Munich, we came to the conclusion that it is a chain. If you are from the U.S., the best comparison would be that it's similar to a Panera Bread outlet. The hot chocolate was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. In addition, the chocolate cake with buttercream filling and cherries was very tasty; one item the wife and I liked was that, like many German desserts thus far, it wasn't overly sweet. We appreciated this, as in the U.S. often sweets take it too far. We also had a pastry filled with cheese and raspberry jam, which was quite nice and also not too sweet.
