The boat left from Dock 4 and they take your ticket before you descend. The river was calm so not difficult to board with the minor rocking. Bathrooms and food/drinks were sold inside on the main deck. The boat was a double decker and I took a seat on the top for the entire cruise. It was perfect weather to be outside and see everything. The tour was conducted via a recording that alternated between Spanish and English. Very interesting facts and highlights throughout. We sailed on three rivers (Sarmiento, Lujan and Espera) and two creeks. We passed by shipwrecks, homes in various conditions (a number of them for sale), a school and church, rowing clubs, and more. The glass enclosed home of former President Sarmiento was a unique site to see. It was a museum that could be visited if you took one of the river taxis? While passing through one of the shallowest creek on the tour, we were chased by some locals who were yelling at the staff until the boat slowed down and stopped their announcements. Not sure what was the issue but the tour resumed a few minutes later. We returned to the same dock and smoothly berthed. Overall a decent tour though it seemed a bit expensive for 19000 ARS.

A recorded message said things about the shoreline that was so far away it was useless. Our guide sat on the back of the boat on her phone. Once we got off the boat we were ushered into a beautiful building for lunch & passed a beautiful dining room to b sat in a back room with no lights on. Then we got on a bus that made 2 10 min stops. The tour guides didn't know left from right so we had no idea what landmarks she pointed out. Biggest waste of $100.

I have done the Heart of the City 5 hour bike tour twice: once with my husband when we first arrived in Buenos Aires, and once with friends visiting from California. My friends visiting from California for 1 week said this was the highlight of their entire trip! The Heart of the City 5 hour bike tour takes you on stops throughout San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero, and the Micro Center (Plaza De Mayo.) If you do the 7 hour tour, that includes Recoletta. You also stop at a choripan food cart in Puerto Madero, and pass the Mate around (Argentinian tea) as you learn about the history of La Boca. Both times I've done the tour, Kaylee Ann was extremely professional, high energy, thorough, and spent the time educating my groups about Buenos Aires. This bike tour rally makes you get a better understanding about the culture and history of Buenos Aires. Kaylee Ann is an American living in Buenos Aires who has traveled all over the world and brings a unique global perspective to the tour. I highly recommend booking a tour with Biking Buenos Aires and asking for Kaylee Ann. It's a much better way to truly see and feel Buenos Aires biking through the barrios (neighborhoods) rather than sitting in a tour bus. It's also a great excursion to book if you have family or friends visiting Buenos Aires. Thank you Kaylee Ann for an amazing bike tour throughout Buenos Aires both times!
