The place is also treasure trove for some of the rarer spirits, including an excellent range of whiskeys. I've come here in the past to purchase the Belgian Owl whiskey and Cantillon beer, both hard to get. Apparently something Belgians even didn't know they wanted: growlers! These huge glass bottles (1,89 l = 64 U.S. fl oz) decorated with the awesome Malt Attacks logo is intended to be used and reused over and over again. Growlers can be filled with any of the two beers available at the filling station, always one Belgian and one foreign beer. After filling, the beer should be able to able to keep for a couple of weeks, but I don't really see that happening in my home... ;) Although you can't actually consume beer in the store -- it's not a bar, after all --there apparently is a room for tastings, so I'm waiting for some public beer tastings to be announced! :)

Location, location, location: located just a few minutes walk from the St. Gilles market area, this is in a hot spot. Did I mention it's within walking distance from where I live? I think that might just make it even better! 2. Variety: There are tons of different selections of beers offered! Both craft and well known beers from all over the world are represented. Of course there are Belgian beers as well but the focus is more on international and different style beers (tons of IPAs, for example). So many choices are available that you can't get all that you want in one trip...but I guess that's what keeps you coming back! 3. Service: Owner is super friendly and helpful in helping you select your beer(s). If you give him an idea of what you will like, he is more than glad to help you select different beers. Additionally, soon, you will be able to "brew your own beer" by adding ingredients you like to create your own beer that will be brewed at the location. How cool is that?? 4. Price: Although price is unarguably high, you have to keep in mind he sources his beers from all over the world and shipping costs alone are high and, well, you get what you pay for. I must admit I'm not a huge beer fan myself but my boyfriend is and I'm excited to spoil him with a beer every once in a while from Malt Attacks! He literally was like a kid in front of a candy shop when he first noticed this place when we walked by and had a huge smile on his face for the rest of the day!
