The current movie house is located within the old Red Owl Grocery building and is directly across the parking lot from Mother Nature's Bar. For small town Iowa, that's a pretty good combination a date night idea. There are 3 screens here and there's no problem seeing a popular feature. Plus, air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter is always a bonus. It's also a typical chain experience and certainly lacks the character my boyhood memories.

I loved having a true cheap seats theater in town (as any good town should) where you could see a new movie for less just by waiting a bit longer. It's truly a shame. You might as well pay a few extra bucks and go to Century. I will still go occasionally, but I guarantee I will spend FAR less money there now at $7 than I would have at $3.50. I realize we are in trying times, but this is just seems like a gouge. Otherwise decent staff, great popcorn, presentable facilities, quiet atmosphere.
